But since the safeties always drop straight back in zone those wrs will be open and that throw should have went to either one 8f them . 82 FOV is just not enough . |

My last game was against very poor secondary ^players, and it shows. It's good to see a true difference between good and bad players.

Thanks for all the feedback - so far it sounds like there's not any pushback for this version going to the general release. I'm going to let a couple of MFN-1 regular season games go but barring any opposition I'll plan to release this version by the end of the week!

So are throws to blocking backs, but I been ready for a release as those happenings seem rare enough . Still, I wish elite tackles on the oline held their own a bit more. Not so sure that part of line play is playing an important role like it should . |

JDB, I know you don't like the play overuse penalty, but this needs to be stopped: https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/box/7739
There is no reason that this should work. He's running the same 3 plays all game, with no penalty. They has to be a threshold where it can work to stop this kind of stuff without affecting the majority of games. I really try to stay away from the dramatic proclamations, but if this style is allowed to spread in usage, it will severely hurt the game. (Ray, this isn't a criticism of you - I know you're doing it for testing purposes - thank you.) |

He blitzed alot( and was penalized for abuse ) and left his slower cbs on an island. Or played cover two. ( zones broke) Equally disturbing was the defense . .....but one could say leaving 3 linemen with less that 30 pass block is a big mistake . The most disturbing part, which had no part of my opponent , was me putting qb fatigue at zero. The result was my qb/rb convert , with less than 70 in every passing category , playing the majority of snaps till later in the game. He passed better if not equivalent to my high rated qbs . Like I said blame it on the defense, but play choice seem to dominate . Well, combined with speed . Look at the plays others winning teams are picking . All Games are being decided with the same play combinations . Even in the older codes. I don't think this is as much of a relationship with an abused play, but more of an exclusion of the plays that don't work. So many plays are just broke and are hurting a teams. If a team played the right plays and players vs. This scheme both way I would lose....38 - 21. Some other notes or oddities that took watching the game to see . My wrs just plain missed 20 catchable wide open *****. The abuse penalty was working if not I would have dropped 300 points or so . |

Sure, there were other factors in the game that let it get to 124 points, but my main point is that if a team only calls three pass plays the whole game on offense, by the second half, they shouldn't be completing a single pass, and should be throwing a high amount of interceptions. I don't care what the fatigue levels are at or if the 2 deep zone isn't the perfect call. Those defenders should know exactly what you're going to do and stop it every time.

I'm going to turn the play overuse penalty back on, and also look to see why your badly rated QB was able to throw so many long pass TDs.

I'm pushing a tweak that should reduce the ability for someone with such a low passing skill to make those big plays. Curious to see what happens in week 2.
