Playback on the NFL Network
by OffensiveTaco @ 10/31/2019 12:00 pm
When you're watching the NFL Network, you know how they have the playback from certain games in chopped video, and they are going forward and rewinding at a certain speed, and adding Graphics like highlighting players, or blacking out the remaining players except one player, Etc...

How do they do that? I mean is there a media player that I can download that would give me those same kinds of bells and whistles that the NFL network has? Would I look for a media player? Or something else perhaps?

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it's similar (but way more powerful) to how streamers get overlays and such on their streams. It's probably separate hardware and software, with some rudimentary AI that can bring in various info on overlays, then everything gets mixed down into a single signal that goes out to the feed.
