You know that MFN 1 is the TEST server, huh?
What a snarky, dumbass question. Being a test league has nothing to do with screwing us over with our roster. I've been here a while and never had players added to or subtracted from my roster for no legitimate reason. Why would I continue to play if that's the case?
Feature being rolled out is to deal with depth chart gaps, which include special teams positions.
Features are rolled out into the test server to get user feedback, to see how it works out in the wild and to spot and address bugs before rolling out to all leagues.
It's hardly a "snarky, dumbass" question but a reminder as to what MFN-1 is and is intended to be, something a lot of people miss.
I've changed my approach in this league to test changes to passing and Zone defence. This league needs owners who understand and fully take on board the nature of the test league. If people don't want to risk these things happening, there are other stable leagues that don't have these experimental features.
What's needed is the ability to give feedback on what you've seen, including details, to enable JDB to be able to refine algorithms and tidy up bugs. Hysterical threats of quitting hardly help improve things.
Now, AI has always been able to sign players. "You must have a minimum of 45 players active and a maximum of 60 players active to prevent the AI from managing your roster."
What is happening with this change is the refinement to take into account depth charts. If you need 2 QBs, then you have to have 2 QBs. AI will sign QBs to match that - if it then has to cut players to fit that, then it needs to do so.
Owners are given the information, that's evolving - there's now a banner detailing the issues, deficient positions have their header in red.
AI should always be a last resort when owners fail to address the problems.
If it's happening when there are not depth chart violations, then there's a bug in that functionality which needs to be detected - why is it happening? People quitting doesn't help resolve any issues.
