Fresh off of a very strong Draft(7 picks in the first 2 rounds) and camp in Cincinnati owner Lellow2011 has guaranteed that this team will make the playoffs in 2027 and for the first time in 12 seasons. A rather bold statement considering they share a division with the defending league champs, but this is a very young and talented team that is definitely on the rise and this team should be a strong contender for a playoff spot. My prediction is they win 11 or 12 games and enter as a wildcard.

1.3 RDE #64 Mario Landry +7/0 ~~~ 47/100
-There were plenty of great options here, ultimately the team filled their biggest need with possibly the best player in a deep draft. Landry did not disappoint in camp either, getting better as a pass rusher, tackler and run defender without losing any future potential. This pick was a big time hit.

1.11 CB #35 Joseph Barber +4/+2 ~~~ 53/94
-The team went defense again with pick eleven in hopes of improving a defense that finished last season dead last in the league in total yards allowed, dead last in run defense and 22nd in pass defense. Barber was brought in to help turn those numbers around. With a very strong camp Barber proves himself to be a great pick at this spot. Another big hit.

1.21 RB #20 Ted Cash +12/-2 ~~~ 59/85
-With a 1700 yard rusher from last season already on the roster this was more of a luxury pick, Cash has excellent speed and the hope is that he could come in and be the top back in Cinci. He had a poor camp but should still be a good back if he can hold onto the football. Considering some of the player picked after him the team could've ended up with a better player, but RBs usually get drafted high so it's hard to fault the team here. Slight miss, but not a disaster by any means.

2.2 FS #27 Oscar Milton +2/0 ~~~ 43/88
-Milton has good speed and size for the position, he will be strong in zone coverage while still proving to be a decent man coverage, he will also end up being a great tackler and run defender based on his future rankings. If he plays primarily zone this will end up being a hit.

2.7 WR #18 Leroy Mitchell +2/+4 ~~~ 43/86
-Cinci certainly had a need for more talent at the WR position and passed on some great options in round 1, fortunately this was a deep draft in rounds 1 and 2 for the receiver position. At 6'1 and 215 lbs Mitchell brings a rare combination of size and speed to the table, add a strong camp to that and this proves to be an excellent pick. Cinci gets a solid number 2 and borderline number 1 WR in the 2nd round. Hit.

2.11 WR #88 Carl Hudson +2/+1 ~~~ 39/82
-Carl Hudson was drafted here for his excellent speed, already having a good 3rd year WR in Lamberth and just drafting a guy 4 picks earlier makes this a bit of a luxury pick but it's nice to have depth at the WR position. The main knock on Hudson is his suspect hands, fortunately Hudson had a decent training camp and his hands did improve some, he also has plenty of room to improve further with his catching score only being 17/70 currently. Hit

2.29 CB #45 Lawrence Callahan +7/-2 ~~~ 50/77
-Cinci traded a future 2nd round pick to further improve the depth of their secondary. Callahan looked to be a possible home run type pick for a late 2nd rounder, showing excellent speed and coverage skills. Unfortunately he had a poor camp and took a hit to his future potential.
Miss.

-All picks from rounds 3-5 were traded away for future picks, the 6th and 7th round picks are not likely to stay with the team.

Other Noteables
- These three former late round picks are steadily improving and look to be solid contributors for this team this season and in the future.

2nd year CB CB #43 David Bradley +5/+4 59/68
-Bradley was drafted last season in the 5th round, he has elite man coverage skills and decent speed. He improved by +3 all of last season so this training camp was a big jump for him. His tackling and run defense got a bit better as well, those are still a bit below average.

2nd year WLB WLB #51 William Workman +4/+1 65/76
Workman was selected in the middle of the 4th round last season, he has solid speed and continues to improve for Cincinnati. It doesn't really look like he booned that hard this season but that is only because he had already maxed out on strip ball, tackling and pass rush. Importantly though he took further strides in improving in zone and man coverage as well as Run defense.

3rd year DT DT #90 Nick Pruett +4/+3 73/81
Pruett is a 3rd year player selected in the 5th round in 2025. Due to less than desired speed for a DE he was converted to DT and has been steadily improving ever since. His overall has improve by 14 since he was drafted and he has become an excellent run defender with great strength and better than average athleticism for a DT. He has some pass rushing ability as well with 14 career sacks to his credit from the DT position.

1.14 Thomas Sandstrom - TE
Wasn't even considering this guy going into this draft. I couldn't pass on a top 10 athletic talent even if it wasn't at a need position. He went +5/-9 in camp... Still leaves us with a great player that hopefully levels off. Paired up with TE Jesse Cuevas the Chargers are going to be exploring double TE sets this year.

1.30 Gerald Bradberry - WR
This is the guy we were hoping... No... dreaming we would get at this spot. Finally San Diego may have drafted a true #1 WR after a few close but not quites. Elite speed, hands, routes and quick cuts. Doesn't block like most SD WR's can, but will do his part by forcing safeties deep. +6/+3

2.30 Leslie Wilkerson - QB
Not on our wish list at all. However the Chargers war room refused to watch first round QB talent combined with serious fast wheels drop into the third round. It may create a QB controversy with much loved QB John Chavez just now coming into his own. A true Luxury pick otherwise would have taken Matthew Taylor. +6/+3

Draft got away from me here and auto picked another WR. Worst part is he's not very fast or very big...

Overall I'm very happy with this draft. It may take a year or two to develop a scary air attack in San Diego (and some serious QB testing), but these players should be the foundation. Nevermind that I don't really run air attacks... At least I'll have WR's and TE's with the skills to think about airing it out

I was hoping for Bradberry at 2.2, it's too bad your TE took such a hit, but at least that WR turned out nicely for you.

1.19 RG Darryl Laney
Management was of course hoping that a few players might fall all the way to us, but was very happy with this pick when it came time. This will help shore up our offensive line which gave up way to many sacks and didn’t allow for as much running as we would have liked here in KC. He had a solid training camp and showed even more promise for the future than originally anticipated. A solid pick for once. (+3/+3)

2.22 RB Jeffrey Medina
Looking to the future, wanted to get a backup RB to work in tandem with our incredible starter before our current backup retires. Player has incredible max speed and good acceleration. His ball carrying can still use some work but has potential to be a solid backup for us. So this was a fairly easy pick given the talent pool that was left at the time. Jeffrey improved nicely in his current ratings, but he showed less promise for us than we had hoped for. Still happy with this pick. (7/-2)

4.22 FS Michael Harris
Looking to the defense, we needed to shore up this position after some unexpected retirements. Will take a few seasons before he can contribute but he has the potential to be a solid player for us in the defensive secondary. (+3/0)

5.21 WR Matthew Pennington
The draft pool was getting fairly sparse for our purposes by this point so as a team we started drafting the best available player to see if anyone would excel and this player turned in a terrible camp. Won’t likely be with the team long. (2/-4)

6.22 WR Alan Atkinson
This player turned in a better training camp with no downgrade in potential. Have to see how he does in game situations, does well enough and he may be able to compete for a spot on the team. (3/0)

2027 Dallas training camp report:

2.18 CB Ronald Allen Clemson +5/-3 Without a 1st round pick, Dallas goes with Allen to improve their talent at a secondary that ranked toward the bottom in turnovers and overall defense. Allen had an unfortunate decline in potential during camp, although he impressed coaches in run defense and zone coverage. His speed makes up for his average man coverage skills and despite having a bad camp, will start across from Lieb at CB2.

3.8 RDE Wayne Baker William Patterson +8/+2 Dallas believes they got there #1 guy with this pick in the draft as baker adds speed, power and most importantly youth to an aging defensive line. He demonstrated outstanding pass rushing skills as well as good tackling abilities, making Baker an almost absolute starter for day 1.

3.17 WR Royce Monroe Houston +6/0 Monroe adds depth and talent to an underrated receiving corps. His camp showed good and bad skills, with some of the good skills being the ability to hold on to the ball and reach for the extra yardage with his great strength despite his size. His pas catching skills will need to be further improved if Meyer wants to look his way more, but his pass reception courage makes up for it, and after further evaluation, Dallas has decided to use Monroe as the starting receiver opposite of Miller.

4.16 C Norman Robillard Notre Dame +2/-1 Robillard fills a position of need as a backup Center, showing great strength and durability in Training Camp. his pass block footing and holding needs more work if he ever wants to make it as a starter in MFN and his Long snapping abilities outnumbered his poor short snapping abilities. Nonetheless, he is a cheap and raw with potential center under Dallas.

5.15 K Tyrone Paull Baylor +5/0 After drafting a kicker last year that didn't perform as expected in place of the late Paul Mitchell who retired, Paull comes into camp looking to take over as our kicker for years to come. With a talent-heavy draft class, kickers where not looked at as a high priority, but for Dallas it was a high priority with Dallas making only 75% of their field goals including only 35% of 40+ field goals made and 0% of 50+ field goals. Paull has the necessary kicking strength to nail long field goals and had a quiet yet exciting camp.

6.14 WR Christopher Santiago Northwestern +5/+2 Dallas adds even more depth in a receiver-heavy draft and gets another late round gem in Santiago. To make up for a lack of speed, Santiago showed an improvement of hands with great pass catching and route running abilities. His lack of speed and current skills will make it difficult for him to become a successful receiver in MFN, at least for now.

6.21 SLB Robert Sebastian Middle Tennessee St. +4/+1 In a draft where there was a big drop off in talent after rounds 4 and 5, Dallas makes a long shot at Sebastian with little results. Sebastian carries along a good build as well as football smarts, but improved very little in areas with the only areas of real improvement were run defense and zone coverage. He showed poor ethic in tackling and man coverage, making it hard to see Sebastian playing for Dallas as a backup throughout his rookie contract.

7.13 WR David Hendrick N. Carolina Central +3/-3 Hendrick was picked up with little chance of making the teamas the amount of talent left in round 7 was very thin. Hendrick was released by Dallas before TC began and we wish him nothing but the best for his future.

Free agent pickups

5.23 TE William Barfield Florida +2/+2 Being drafted by New Jersey but released before TC, Dallas took little time to pick up barfield who has a good build overall. With below average speed comes great hands at catching, run blocking and ball carrying making him n interesting fit for Dallas at Tight End. His improvement during camp reminded the coaching staff of TE Clifton Richard, who was picked up in late free agency a couple of years back and has improved ever since.

5.18 DT James Cartwright Southern California +7/+6 This may have been Dallas's biggest late free agency pick to date with Cartwright, who was released by Detroit, showing great improvement in potential. While Dallas did not get a DT they needed in the draft, Cartwright fits their system perfectly with great tackling and run stuffing abilities.

SS Richard Rodriguez Cincinnati 0/-1 Rodriguez comes into his 4th MFN season as a backup Safety after the departure of Bobby Orielly. All of Rodriguez's skills and abilities match up as average compared to other backup safeties, making him a good backup for this season.

Overall, pretty good draft, had some downfalls but the late free agency pickups helped a lot.

Oakland Training Camp Report

Round 1 Pick 5 - Martin Weigel MLB +8/-9
Drafted to form a devastating duo of MLB's for Head Coach Rodriguez's 3-4 system along side 98 rated MLB Cardoza, Weigel has underperformed through Training camp but should still occupy the second MLB slot assuming his performances don't falter further

Round 2 Pick 8 - Bernard York C +6/+2
With the 15 year Legend, Lavern Reed pushing 36 years of age, york was brought in to understudy and has shown good technique and improvement through the camp. at just 22 years of age he has potential to lock down the position for the next decade just as his predecessor has.

Round 3 Pick 7 - Jimmy Simmons TE +6/+5
The lack of quality TE's has limited the playbook for Oakland. Simmons has looked good as the first of two TE's in this draft improving across the board during camp. His speed and blocking skills will be invaluable helping sure up the edges against Speedy pass rushers.

Round 4 Pick 6 - Thomas Yan TE +3/+4
The second TE taken by Oakland, Yan was picked due to his natural strength and athleticism. With continued technical improvement he'll be pushing for the TE1 position by the end of his rookie contract.

Round 5 pick 5 - Bernard Fuchs CB +1/0
In a shallow draft, Fuchs found a place on the extended roster due to his speed, however he'll need to improve dramatically to keep his roster spot

Round 6 pick 8 - Ricardo Howell WR +4/+1
Howell will need to improve his hands to have a future with the team as he currently sits at the bottom of the depth chart after only minor improvements during camp

Round 7 pick 7 - Dewayne Terry DT +0/+1
Severely underweight for a DT, Dewayne will need to bulk up while improving his technique if he hopes to maintain a roster spot into the future.

Ya, I'm actually happy with both of them. They will both end up rated around 90 or so in my system. This was just a odd draft for me with lots of picks I didn't really need... that could really change the style of the team. Bradberry would have been awesome value at 2.2

I can't complain too much, I ended up with Mitchell at 2.7, he may end up around a 90 by my weights. His rating is being dragged down some by the fact that he is 20 pounds over average weight.

Round 1 pick 8: Lance Cortez RDE 94 potential had a +1 gain. Looks to be a beast for me for many years and wreck havoc on QB's

Round 1 pick 23: Michael Abron WR 96 potential had a +5 gain. Much needed addition to my offense which struggled last season all around.

Round 3 pick 32: Daniel Powell QB 77 potential had a +4 gain. Interesting because I am not thrilled with my current QB even tho he is higher rated, cant wait to see this kid in preseason. Love his passing skills!!!

My other picks really wont have any major effect on my team and are just fillers so nothing really to write up on them as of now.
