It looks like there is some sort of pay system in the plan for this game. Any idea on what to expect there?

The pricing structure is visible in your account page - http://www.myfootballnow.com/purchase_credits

You can also get credits by referring other users with your referral code.

Yes, but what are the credits for? How many do you need etc?

Oh - each season is 5 credits. When you signed up you received 5 credits to play your first season. You can see your credit history on your account page:

http://www.myfootballnow.com/account

Click on the "Game Credits" tab, then on "Transaction History."
