Switching positions before dropping player

Saw a little bit of this today. a few players ranked around 60 with my weights switched to positions where they're ~40 the day before they were dropped. It doesn't look like they're doing it to resign them for cheap, but it does prevent other teams from finding talent. Is this gamesmanship or is this unethical? I can see the argument from both sides, but I'd just like to see where the community stands on this issue.

On a side note, I think there should be an easier way to see what ratings players have at other positions rather than having to do a player search while filtering specific positions. Something similar to what you see when you're changing a players position would be great on every player page.

Not sure how hard it would be but I wish there was a way, that once released they could go back to their original position or whichever position they are ranked the highest....

Now that you mention it, there might be something like this already in progress, but not ready for implementation.

I thought they already reverted to their highest ranked position, but I guess that hasn't been done yet either.

They used to, but this resulted in some really strange player moves by the AI (i.e. most players got moved to LG or something like that).

What you -can- do to find these players is do a standard player search for the position you are looking for. You'll find the best players at that position regardless of what their assigned position is. So if someone moves a RB to P or something, when you do a player search for RB you'll see this P in the list but with his RB ratings. This happens both if you add a filter to the free agent search or if you do a player search for free agents.

What is coming soon is the inability to move a player to an inappropriate position.

While I understand that this is an option, I think that a simpler way to look at all of the players positions quickly should be considered. We already have it for coaches, and we can do it for player on our roster, why not players not on our roster?

My biggest issue with the player search is that on a stable broadband connection, it took me 72 seconds to look up one position. What if I were trying to figure out a player's best spot on the O-Line? I don't what to have to "compile" every single time. This certainly isn't a huge issue for me, but just a minor annoyance I'd like to see get taken care of in the long term.

I do have some updates with the player search coming soon. Unfortunately the "compiling" is a result of you being able to change the attribute weights, which I think is a fundamentally important part of the game - but when you're sorting 900 players the system first has to calculate all of your personal ratings for all 900 players. The update should introduce some ways to make this more efficient but it will still have to be there.

Ive thrown this out before but it would also be helpful to list on the player card a drop down box showing the players ranking at all positions .. Similar to how the coaches' page shows their rankings at each position.
