And how is ATL all the way up at #6 in MFN-1?

Power Rankings in general need to be looked at or something. They should be made elo based or something. In Cust-35. the two league finalists ranked 3 and 5 going into the game behind teams they both eliminated. My team made the playoffs and was ranked below non playoff teams and even below teams we eliminated in the playoffs.

Preseason still shows the previous season's end. Early in the season the algorithm resets, so the sample size of only a few games can cause some wild fluctuations in the power rankings. I'd like to do some things to stabilize it but as the season gets past the halfway point the power rankings should start to take on a better illustration of the league.

Of course they do nothing other than display so it can always be a point of discussion in your league, or even a chance to post your own power rankings to compete with it!

These power rankings are interesting (maybe), but make no sense whatsoever.

In the first game of the season in CUST-33 I just beat my opponent 74-0, while holding them to 68 yards of total offense.

My team dropped 5 spots while the other team rose 6 spots.

If the rankings were based only on this season (1 game), this doesn't make sense.
If they were based on last season also (I am defending champ - opponent was 2-14), this doesn't make sense.

They seem to be kind of like when a monkey picks an NCAA tournament bracket and ends up doing well. It's just complete randomness, but makes for interesting comments.

I think the hidden secret is it looks at the way a team is progressing each week and moves the teams more then it should. I have a team that has progressed 70 points in 10. Weeks. I'm talking potential not current so 55/77 15/17 So add up the 7/rand all the positives and you can get a good idea of how your team is doing
