Seeing free agents sign for 6m/6 yr rather than 6m/2 yr contacts. Even if the signing bonus is very high that doesn't make good sense.

The total signing bonus is the primary decision factor - the player knows that he could get cut immediately and always goes for the guaranteed money.

_but_ I do see that it might be weighed a bit too heavily with that difference. I'll make a note to look at that logic again.
