We had 3 timeouts, used none, let the clock run out on the half without trying a chipshot, or burning any to give us another couple of shots at the endzone. I actually understand not using one after the first run, we don't want to give them the ball, but once we're down to 36 seconds with 1st and goal, we can burn all 3 timeouts for 3 shots at the end zone, and then kick the FG.

I'll check into it, you are correct though, you should have kicked a field goal to end the half.

Just looked at the code, this had been fixed in the beta version but hadn't been ported into the 0.1 game engine yet. Let me know if you see this happen in a future game, it should be fixed now though.

I don't know, maybe his gameplan is set for this, but I don't think I'd be punting on fourth down inside my opponent's red zone...

No, his max field goal distance is set way too low. What I need to do is change it so that inside the 30 yard line or so if you don't kick a field goal then you just go for it instead of punt.

Yeah, as I watched the rest of the game I saw that, there were at least 2 other instances of very short punts.
