are short,medium,long the same for run/pass?my est. for them are:short 0-3,med 4-7,long 8+...does that sound about right?

Run is in and out
Pass is short med. And long

Yes, but the actual yardage that is considered short, medium and long varies based on how the AI determines your offense is performing.

thx for the help guys,makes sense that the values would be tied to yur off's ability to move the ball
