Why no contract answers in a week?

I haven't got answer at any of my offers of EXTENDED contracts in OVER a WEEK, although I offered what they asked (except to one of them). Why??
I used the Renegotiation Wizzard, marked them I gave new offer and used the button for confirming I give offers to that group of players of mine.

The season ends today...

It appears that K Ben Hargett and FB Benjamin Picard signed in Midweek 9. Then 9 players rejected contract offers during the Championship week. Then 8 more players retired during the End of Season spin.

If this is true, the coach really caught a break. If you sign eight guys who then retire, you could be stuck with a ton of dead cap. If a guy is contemplating retirement at 20 percent or more, extend his contract at your own peril.

Perhaps you look at a season ago, BEFORE I took over the team some weeks ago.

I offered contracts to totaly (4 or) 5 players. Same as they requested to LT Jones, RG Kimble, RDE Wollmer (and I believe RG Smith too). And I offered less than he requested to SLB Booth.
The rest with ending contracts I didn't offer anything.

I will try now again, one by one this time not through the Renegotiation Wizard but through the players list to see if that help.

That may be. I just looked at the transactions on the team homepage.

2036 2036 League Championship SLB Robert Booth Rejected contract offer
2036 2036 League Championship LT Roy Jones Rejected contract offer
2036 2036 League Championship RG Kenneth Kimble Rejected contract offer
2036 2036 League Championship RG Billy Smith Rejected contract offer
2036 2036 League Championship RDE James Vollmer Rejected contract offer

I don't know if those are the offers you made, but they're the only ones offered during the championship spin. As I l look at it right now there are 3 contract offers out to players, probably the ones you said you were trying.

I don't ever use the Renegotiation Wizard though. I always make my offers per player. Having that extra control lets me manage salaries and the cap better.

Oh we have to SEARCH now and then at the transaction subpage! We get Messages about other things, so I thought we would get for this too :)

Then I have an other question :) How come ALL rejected, when I offered 4 of 5 what they requested???
(Their oppinion of me are Neutral.)

Yeah, get in the habit of checking that transaction log all the time, especially during free agency.

Your question is a good one. I don't know that I know either why they will sometimes reject an offer when you give them the bonus you want. There is a tool that jsid made that helps to structure your deals, but it doesn't always work either. Sometimes it's the money, sometimes it's the length of the contract offer that needs to be changed. You need to start early, especially with your stars, offering contracts. That way you have a better chance of finding the right combination that will work for the player. I had a guy in one of my leagues who rejected my offer, like, four times before I finally hit on the right offer to get him to resign.
