Why are players that are no longer under contract and actually are free agents still show up under my roster? I see now where I can filter to only those under contract, but why the heck are they there at all. How confusing. Totally misplanned my free agency. When the heck do they go away?

If they are not signed by another team, they will go away preseason midweek 1.

Thats why the majority of us cut those players End of Season if you undoubtedly know you wont try to resign them. That way in the off-season they wont be rostered.

Just realize by cutting them, there is a good chance they will not resign as a FA. Thats why I said to be certain they are players you do not want.
