I always though player hapiness was pretty much related to playing time but there are a couple I've seen lately that confuse me;

I traded this QB pre-season and just wanted to check how he's done and saw that he's Livid (which I've never seen before) despite starting 13 games.

This FB is on a Roster Only team of mine and is Unhappy despite being a 5th rounder that started 13 games his rookie season...he's now injured so won't play for 4 weeks

Any ideas ?

I can chime in immediately that when you trade a player it instantaneously hits you with the VH1 Video...err Livid Pop-Up!

The other scenario I don't know.

Ok, the traded player scenario seems weird, the player I received in the trade started 11 games at WR1 or 2 and is Happy. The QB I linked to also signed a new deal after being traded...so did he become Livid after signing the deal, maybe he's just ungrateful :-)

The guy is upset with you, but may be happy with the owner of the new team. That’s one thing you can’t see as the happiness factor is only in relation to you.

I checked the player card for the FB in question. With my weights, FB is down a ways from his "best" positions. Players will be upset if they are not playing "where they think they should". This is why I think he is disgruntled.

That makes absolutely perfect sense...thanks.

The FB weights comment is enlightening too but makes less sense Out of interest what position is he best rated at according to your weights ?.

These are by my weights. Of course this guy is too light right now but he'll gain weight if you switch him to OL.

Thanks, he rates as an 84/86 FB for me and his next position in 36/70 LG....quite a difference.

Still think it's rough that he's playing week in week out and is unhappy.

I think it's based off defaults which take in to consideration the head coaches stlye/player weights.

Seeing your coach as "run focused " I bet strength and run blocking have alot to do with it. This may be a stretch but you could change your head coach.

My weights are almost the same as what raidergreg posted. The FB position is a couple points higher.
