I'm getting there, bit by bit as a coach. My second 'seasons' have produced a couple of playoff teams and mostly winning records. Most were in terrible shape coming in.

My teams

MFN-74: Atlanta Falcons - took over a team in cap **** following three seasons of AI coaching and six seasons of Smirt prior to that.
Year 1: 3-13
Year 2: 5-11
Year 3: 3-2

MFN-23: Miami Dolphins - team had had 14 straight losing seasons!
Year 1: 6-10
Year 2: 10-6 Lost Wild Card when QB broke his ankle when leading 7-3 - I had deactivated the BQ because QB's never get injured! Doh

MFN-13: Seattle Seahawks - another cap **** team that manifested after my first season there. Possibly my best 'Coaching' to date.
Year 1: Team started 6-2, crushed by injuries, finished 8-8.
Year 2: 9-5 with 2 games left, Division winners and #4 seed, currently resting up injured players to try and get them healthy for the playoffs. currently carrying $212M dead Cap from $368M cap total, with $150M next season. Unlikely to do anything in the playoffs but team has 8 first round picks and 6 second rounders over next two draft years (30 picks in total) - Should be a Dynasty team

AFL: California Red Woods - first 'custom' team. Team was 9.5 seasons old when I took over and had never had a winning season.
Year 1: 9-7 missed playoffs - lost twice in final 3 weeks to same divisional opponent (Portland Lumberjacks) to get pipped for division
Year 2: 10-6 missed playoffs - finished with 5 wins on the bounce but lost twice to Portland Lumberjacks to lose the division and come up short of the playoffs
Year 3: 9-4 currently #6 seed, Portland are 11-2 (uncoached) and we are the team to beat them (twice) - could miss playoffs again unless we win final 3 games

Football Moguls: LA Red Dragon now NY Manhattan Chinatown Dragon - This team was a mess, league admin offered me $30M extra cap to help to revive the Dragon after 1.5 seasons of AI. (I turned it down, by the way)
Year 1: 5-11 *Arguably Coach of the Year* LOL
Year 2: 9-7 Missed playoffs with a 17-14 loss in week 16, throwing an INT when in FG range in final minute.

XFL: Daytona Bull Sharks - Hadn't had a winning season since inaugural year, league now 9 years old
Year 1: 4-12
Year 2: 9-7 missed playoffs

Quick and the Dead: LAA now Oak Island Treasure, took over a team following 3 years of AI ownership, culminating with them finishing 0-16 when I took them over.
Year 1: 7-9
Year 2: 7-9 first team I've had that hasn't shown progression in the second season. Struggling to find/put an identity on this team. Probably my least popular team and am seriously considering off loading them.

World Football League: Chile - I took over a division Champion, jumped in too quick to try and plug all the holes, not realising this was a league in only it's second year. I've been reparing the damage (sometimes controversially) ever since.
Year 1: 3-12-1
Year 2: 5-10-1 *Rookie QB, #1 pick, Ryan Leaf* - this team should get double digit wins this season

League of Legends: Nelson Admirals - My League, now a season and a half old. I drafted for youth with a view to being super competitive from season 3 onwards.
Year 1: 7-9 Missed playoffs and a division title, losing three of last four games, gifting division to team I beat twice!
Year 2: 5-6 Currently #6 seed - a 9 team battle royale for the berth with all teams either 4-7 or 5-6

Footballing Brotherhood of Westeros: The Three Eyed Raventree - Just completed training camp in season 1 (it didn't go well). I've drafted a slightly older team than in my League, with a definite focus on speed.

Current record 133-164-2, Playoffs 0-1
Next game is my 300th (who knew?).
The target is to get to 250 wins before 250 losses

For anyone interested (still reading) I may start up a new League after Christmas - Teams will be named with Sporting links eg Augusta Masters, Rugby Sevens, Preston Tight Ends, Athens Olympians, Kawasaki Seven Fifties, Lords Players, Royal Ascot Thoroughbreds, Indianapolis Ovals, Le Mans 24's, Wimbledon Whites, Pebble Beach Greens, St Andrews Bafflers etc.
