I have noticed now more than ever that games are being decided by turnovers. Teams strength of roster and playcalling skills are not near as relevant as they used to be. The sims are forcing teams to lose by committing crucial turnovers by players who aren’t even supposed to be turnover prone. This trend is killing this game. And there’s no point of even game planning or setting rosters if games are gonna continue to be determined by this. And I have seen it favor my team and also seen it happen to teams playing me. So I speak for all teams. I miss when this game was decided on whose rosters and playcalling skills were better. This is a trend that I hope gets fixed soon or else the mass exodus of owners leaving on here will continue. :(

Here's a good article on how the turnover battle affects the RL NFL. It's a good read.

I respect what you’re saying, and yes turnovers do have a large part in outcomes. But this is not RL, it’s a game where we build our teams with players who are dependable and whose atts should not make them turnover prone. I could have all players on my team have 100 for avoid fumble and the QBs have 100 accuracy and still suffer from several turnovers in a game. There should be a “gamer” mentality too in this game. If there’s not, then there’s no point of playing.

I dont know how that articles NFL stats compares to MFN. It's got me curious now.

Ya I realize that it's a game. But it's more of a sim I would say. I know a game can be both too. But there are some football or sports games in general out there that are only just a game. It's good to have both and some peeps like to play both styles. For me, I prefer the game to lean a lot more towards a sim than towards just a game. Which is the only reason why I spend my time playing an online game/sim.

For others they would prefer more of a game experience. Thats kool too. Whatever floats our boats right? But changing a sim to be more like a game would ruin it for some of us who like that sim experience. Even as mind crushing as a sim can be. Oh and it can crush us into a pulp sometimes. lol

There's literally a term in the Football Manager series called "being FM'ed", which means you dominate everything and lose when they have one shot the entire game, maybe even off target, but it was deflected in... or an own goal... or something like that.

Those things HAVE to happen, or it's not really a game.

This happens in competitions where the winner is often determined by a single score. It happens in hockey a ridiculous amount with games being decided 0-1 (or similar) and the puck ricocheting in ways you can't possible predict. Football is similar. Announcers often state a team is down "2 scores" etc. A game like basketball on the other hand rarely sees games decided by ridiculous "luck". Buzzer beaters aren't luck unless its full court or something.
