So here we are in the Late FA Week 1 of 2 in the Elite Football League. There is no choice but for me to go the Void Contract route because I did not see the trade offers until it was too late. My bad and thanks for trying to help me out a few of you. Anyway, it is looking like the Void Contract message says.... right before you confirm click......
"This will reduce the salaryt cap by $X,XXX,XXX . Because you just drafted this player, cutting him will not accrue any dead salary cap".
Now after I do this for all 7 draft picks, then I go to the Pending Contracts page on the bottom half (Players to be cut next sim). My page shows that this will not work for my top 4 draft picks. Both the (Cap Hit This Year) and (Cap Hit Next Year) categories for my top 4 picks are loaded with money. This tells me that indeed I will not only still be hit for this season's cap for voiding the top 4, but it will also activate a dead cap for next season for the rest of their rookie contract. Now draft picks 5 through 7 are different because the above mentioned categories have a balance of $0 for them. Of course those will not help my Cap situation much because duh...........
Can anyone please explain to me why it looks like voiding the contract of my top 4 draft picks will not help? It looks like it will just make everything worse. Any advice will help. My hope is that what I see for the top 4 draft picks is maybe a glitch...and the Cap Hit This Year / Next Year categories will really be at $0 as well like they should.
