Coach salary

JD, can you explain more about coaches' salary? What's the limit on spending, is there a "cap hit" to that limit when firing a coach or renegotiating his salary and how to understand the bar that appears when you attempt to negotiate a contract with a coach, basically

Coach salaries are very simple, you just have to keep within your max cash flow. Firing a coach has no adverse effect to your cash flow, it's straight up the sum of your current year's coach salaries.

What does it mean when you click on "contract" and your offers show as negative values? Does that mean it's the best offer you can make?

That means ... something is amiss. You should at least be able to offer the contract that you are replacing. Is it a re-signing of an existing coach or signing a new coach?

I have the same problem. For me its resigning of an existing coach.

I'm having the same issue with trying to sign new coaches and resigning old coaches both.

Can't remember which, but I did make a renegotiation offer which was accepted and made an offer to a new coach, which was accepted, both using the coach's demand -if that's what it is, because I'm sure no coach will ask for negative dollars!

(edit: it can't be the coach's demand, either, because now the coach I want to renegotiate with is "asking" for my entire allotment of dollars -so what does the initial contract "recommendation" represent?)

The other thing that's bothering me is the bar at the top. Right now the "min for remaining coaches" is at 0, and yet I clearly have some money left I can use for coaches. If I understand this right, the yellow only gives useful information when you do not have your full complement of coaches. But what I really need to know is how much money "under the cap" I have remaining for renegotiations and stuff.

I made an adjustment, see if you are still getting the wacky negative offer.

So far so good on this side of things.
