ST hints

So, it seems my ST units are really bad at blocking for my punt returner. The opposing teams always seem to be much better at blocking for the punt returner, than i am.

Looking at the ratings for the ST blocker (which i presume is the guy blocking for punt returner?) i seem to be doing okay.

Can anybody give a few hints as to what to do?

It may be that your opponents do a better job of covering returns.

Are you letting the Ai set your depth chart?

You need to have players with high speed and tackle on punt coverage. In some cases that may mean playing a starter there.

In general, I rarely see any good returns between two teams who've paid attention to who is on their ST units.

Make sure you manually set overrides on your PR and KR depth charts. BY DEFAULT, the SPT blockers on those plays are your GUNNERS, which makes no sense and, as much as we've complained about it, does not appear to be a priority for JDB.

Really, we should have multiple SPT teams depth charts, but for now, overrides are the only way to make SPT blocking work.

The players blocking for my punt and kick returner, what attributes should they have?

Speed and tackle?

Thanks for the answers so far, i hadn't thought of overriding the depth chart.
