Cutting players

It's seems when I cut a player say yesterday, I come back the next day and the player isn't cut. I don't know why...
I guess that's not really a problem. What I don't like is when I come on the next day, it says I STILL have too many players and it erases which player it was to begin with.
If I don't make note of that player (before), I need to go through the roster to start the cut process again. This is unnecessary and time consuming. Any way this could be fixed?
What do you guys do?

What stage ran? I've not heard of a case where a player was supposed to be cut and wasn't. Do you have anything under the "My Team->Pending Contracts" section? (Pending cuts will list there) If the league is in a draft, it won't do the cut until the first stage of late free agency.

It was before week 1 (regular season) for me. it was a CB I cut ( I know this because I put his name in the sticky note) when I came back the next day, it seemed as though the whole process was ignored. Yes, It was in the pending /to be cut section the night before.

EDIT: Does a player need to be on the ACTIVE roster for him to be cut? That's the only thing I could have done wrong...

No, his roster status won't matter, there should be no way that a pending cut would get cancelled. I actually see in the logs where you cut him (from your team page) and then cancelled the cut (from the depth chart page) so maybe you accidentally cancelled the cut thinking you were cutting him again (there's a similar confirmation dialog when you cancel the cut)?

Interesting.... I don't recall doing that but if it shows up in the log, then that is my fault.
Thank you for looking into it !
Do you think (maybe) for a future suggestion, they can highlight a cut player in a different color in the depth chart? Or something like that, like a big X, lol.... Would make it easier for an Owner or dummies like myself to know that a player is going to be cut.

That's a good idea.

Is there a chance that using the "Auto Depth Chart" feature, the cut got cancelled?

If that's the case, can there be logic added in where the auto logic acts like the cut player isn't there?

No, the cut won't get cancelled with the "auto depth chart" feature although he will get placed into your depth chart (and then subsequently removed when he's cut at the next stage).

Roger that. Was my single thought on the thing. Heh.
