Random Crazy ?

Does the AI look at the roster available before selecting a play, or will it "force" players into positions if the active personnel can't match the needs?

For instance, if I only have 3 active WR's on my roster, will the AI refuse to select an offensive play from the 5WR set? Or will it call the play and "force" two non-WR's to fill in at the final two WR spots in the play? Conversely, if I put all my RB's on inactive, would that force the computer into just calling plays from the non-RB sets? Or would it just assure that I have a bunch of unqualified people forced into the RB's role for the entire game?

Yes, I know I can control this through the gameplan screen, but for roster-only leagues...

No, the play is called and then the depth chart is used to place the players. If there are not enough players in the depth chart to place, the AI will try to put the best players available.

Awesome -- thank you! Glad I asked rather than just madly experimenting then :)
