injured TE for my first super bowl…help!

Finally made it to a SB only to find my TE2 and DT3 are doubtful. I’m going to play the DT3 but the TE has foot health of about 12!

Do you think I should play him regardless baring in mind he won’t play lots of plays.

Or can I swap a WR into that place? Or a OL? I have plenty good in those positions

TÍA!!

Simple answer: use 1 and 0 TE formations.

Yes, one can put an OL at the missing TE for 1 and 2 te formations. I wouldn't expect an o line to catch more than about 1/4 - 1/5 tosses at him, and I personally really try to avoid it... (EDIT: throwing to an OL)

Ive not had much success running 6 OL in the 2/2/1 when using only running plays from the 2/2/1. STill need at least 1 TE for that fomation - even without pass plays, at least in my experiences.

As far as run plays go, it's not a bad idea even with multiple TE's avail to place a quick OL at the TE the RB runs toward.

MFN has not been kind to heavy 2 TE offenses since 4.4 due to the 4/3 zone/zone in plays being pumped up oddly to deal with the HB Flare abuse of v4.5 and the TE position being diluted/tweaked to a small degree to prevent the abuse of the GL pass play during v4.3.

Yes, you can sneak a WR in at TE, but he'll need to be buff as ****, tallish, and have a tasty BR/A.
Tasty bras.

I'll leave on that note :P

I should note: There's a bug that will use any DEFENSIVE play removed the next game.
EG: wk 6, remove any defensive play (no check mark). wk 7, AI will use unchecked play anyway. Wk 8, AI will accept the removal of play(s).
SO.... don't be surprised if that bug nerfs ya a bit. I tested it in my last playoff run, so it's new. SOmeone else found it and noted it already.

But yes, the AI will continue to use any defensive plays unchecked by the user for at least 1 game after the play was removed by the user.

This does not occur with removed offensive plays.
Yes, I change everything from game to game :)
Punch in, punch out, go to work and go back home.
GOOD LUCK!

I probably would have signed a FA TE for the game before the midweek spin but the game is tonight. Whether you play him or not, make sure you have other players in the depth chart behind him. Chances are he'll be limited by that foot so you'll need someone as a TE3 regardless.

Good luck tonight btw, if you were playing my Raiders you'd probably win.
