One of the best Unlimited races ever!

To kick off the 2018 H1 Unlimited season, 7 boats made the call to the 1st annual Southern Cup at Lake Guntersville in Guntersville, Alabama.

While the field was down from its usual size, the racing was jam packed all weekend long. It came down to the final heat for the prestigious Southern Cup, with 4 boats surviving the weekend up to this point. For 5 adrenalizing laps, Andrew Tate (U-9) and Jimmy Shane (U-1) battled it out in the southern heat for what was going to go down as the closest finished ever in H1 Unlimited history.

Even if you're not a fan of racing, I suggest you watch this video anyways as this sport is a huge part of my life and resembles a big part of who I am today. Very exciting racing all the way to the finish.

The race begins around the 5:50 mark as the boats have 5 minutes to warm up and fight for lanes before the official start.
