Has the concept of adding a bye week to the calendar been considered?

Pros: Helps with injuries, gives the owners a break week from gameplanning.
Cons: Probably a pain in the *** to code, some people like to keep the game going.

I wouldn't be opposed to a week 11 or so league wide bye week to help out with injuries, but this idea doesn't really do much for me.

Con: The season is long enough as it is. It takes what...two months? Personally, I'd like to see that shortened, not lengthened.

Have you even played a full season yet?

Nope. But I'm already frustrated at how long it took to get the off season.

The week 11 (or which ever week) idea is nice if this were to be added. You could code it such that week 10 game sims, then instead of a mid week spin, it immediately goes to week 11 (extra healing) followed immediately by week 12 game sim.

Having said that I'm neutral on the idea overall. Injuries are abundant especially on the oline and dline but I have not run into a lot of serious injuries which I think if injuries were closer to NFL we would have a lot more to deal with (not suggesting we need more injuries).
