Career Ending Injuries or other Career Enders

Also was thinking about Career Ending Injuries or other Career Enders.

1. Career Ending Injuries
like have a injury like Michael Irvin , Steve Young , etc. in their career and it could happen in the beginning of their career , middle of their career or even near the last part of their career.

2. Other Career Enders
Like have a player retire because he thinks he rather play basketball , baseball , hockey or any other sport than football , like he didn't like his draft pick so he rather retire and do something else that is not a Sport , like he doesn't want to play in the NFL but he rather play in the CFL , etc.

For the love of god no, it's hard enough to build and put together a roster and deal with the draft with the randomness of boons and busts. Just randomly losing a player for good, especially one of your stars to RNG? Yeah......

I'm going to give this a big -1

Would you go for this if the ROSTERs were expanded??

If not what would have to happen for you to say YES to this?

Roster expansions would mean more players to draft/sign and even more work to deal with. Plus random career-ending injuries to key players would just be too much. Realistic? Yes. Needed? No.

There really isn't anything I can think of that would make this a good idea in my mind. There is already enough RNG in the game when it comes to drafting, player development and injuries. Lets say you're a team that wins regularly and picks towards the bottom of the draft. You just gave up 3 first rounders to move up and get a top notch HB that your offense relies on to run it's scheme. Now 4 games in he gets a career ending injury and your team now has nothing to show for everything it just gave up. No thanks.

I believe a serious injury increases the chance of retirement. I've had a few talented guys retire early on me.

Or because he meets Robin Givens.
