I think the UI and front page of this game is very different to most.
How about the initial home page including:
1. Last game key details and button to View game
2. Next game key details and button to view tactics setup
3. Team News scrolling up (stating whether I've missed out on coaches/trades etc - each one can be clicked on to take automatically to the news).
4. Latest forum threads in another box

i was thinking it would be cool to be able to customize your team home page with maybe a graphic or colors. I like to put all my teams in a spreadsheet and make it all fancy for myself. Some people don't care about that kind of stuff so i totally understand if it's not high on the to do list :)

Sure - but to attract new users (I assume the owner eventually wants this to be a big MMORPG with 1000+ users?), the front page needs to be slick and better (wish I could explain more, but I'm not an IT guru, just someone who has played lots of other similar games).

I have just found that I hired a coach in a menu tab called Trans. It would have been nice to have had a notification when I signed someone or when someone had outbid me for a free agent recently too.

i totally agree, I will admit that i was lost at the beginning but the more you navigate and figure stuff out the easier it becomes.
