Pass Blocking needs improvement

I know this is an issue already and I know I saw this on another thread but i couldn't find it. Anyways, I was watching the conference championship game in MFN-1 between Tennessee and New Jersey where NJ QB Gene Day got sacked 8 times, seven of which were allowed by an 80 overall Offensive lineman Jose Cameron who has a pass blocking of 99 and strength of 77.

Although he did work against an outstanding Rookie Defensive End who got 5 sacks going up against Cameron, You would think Cameron would at least give up less sacks with his experience and pass blocking and all. But maybe it was the Defensive Ends speed?

Either way you look at it, pass blocking still needs improvement as it seems on most plays the OL holds their blocks for 2-4 seconds max before giving up. It also seems to be the elite offensive tackles that get beat more often than not rather than 2nd string offensive tackles.

One main problem could be the speed of the offensive lineman since their max speed usually hovers around 10-25? If that could possibly be the case, then the speed of the offensive lineman could maybe be increased to 30-45 to decrease the chances of defensive ends of beating out elite offensive lineman by speed. A lot of the time its Defensive ends and tackles getting sacks despite having a average at best pass rush and it could be from their speed.

The other issue of course is the time the OL holds their blocks before giving up, which could be resolved by the better the pass blocking rating is, the longer the blocking is engaged, but that may be the way it already works now?

Of course I dont really know how the algorithm for the pass rush and pass blocking actually works, but it definitely needs a little work to improve the game experience for me imo. Hopefully this is one of the issues that is pretty high on the priority list.

I just had a game in MFN-15 where my team gave up 19 sacks.

5 were allowed by a lineman with 93 pass blocking.
5 were allowed by a lineman with 97/100 pass blocking.
2 were allowed by a lineman with 100 pass blocking.
2 were allowed by a lineman with 94 pass blocking.
2 were allowed by a lineman with 51 pass blocking (no surprise).

Pass blocking definitely needs some work.

It's become just as useless to invest in a highly rated pass blocking OL as it to invest in a highly rated QB.

The fastest oline men might run a 4.7 40 yrd dash at 288 lbs. The fastest DE might be in the 4.45 range at like 245lbs. Speed is not the problem it is how the QB handles pressure. Alowwing an obscure number of chase down sacks when he should have ran or thrown it away.

In real life Great offensive linemen aren't speedsters. They neutralize great pass rushers with a quick reaction off the snap and good technique.

To be honest, the top two attributes I look at anymore are ST and AC.

I made a trade in another league the other day and got (rightly) questioned as it did look unbalanced (in the other teams favour). I explained that highly rated O linemen just are not worth the salary or high draft pick. Since I traded my 90 rated player for a pick + player (70 rated), we haven't missed a beat.

I noticed this also about pass blocking. The sacks do some awful high. The trick now is finding a balance.Does anyone have lower rated ol blocking better then higher rated ol?We could always try moving them around on the depth chart. Then see if the sacks drop or not.

I see no difference between the 2
