Next update question

What changes are in store for QB play and sack prevention? ie Will QB attributes start to matter more than speed and scramble? Will Oline be able to stop the speed rush?

Also, when could these be instituted?

You can browse through the MFN1 Beta forums if you're interested in finding out what changes are currently being tested.

That still doesn't let me know when they will be implemented. I understand it is probably fluid and up in the air.

i'm pretty sure we won't see an update before this next season in 75. I'd guesstimate when he dials it it and League 1 is comfortable with all the changes. Until JDB says anything that's what i'm going with :)

Thanks, Bryson. That's what my quick skimming of the Beta forums lead me to believe.

It won't be released until after another full season of testing in MFN-1. That means it will probably be 2 to 3 seasons before it hits any of the other leagues because of how the sim schedules will be slightly off and JDB won't release it mid-season for any league judging by the last update.

I wish he would release part of the update asap, even if it is still not perfect.

At least the QB play, but I would also prefer the OL updates currently in MFN1 to the fiasco that we are currently playing with in the rest of the leagues.

2-3 more seasons of this ****? 2-3 more seasons of the blitz every play teams dominating? Really?

I took 2 teams in new leagues because I fully expected to be off this current version when season 2 rolled around. I guess I was too optimistic again.

The problem with roll out schedule is that MFN-1 just started the playoffs while most other leagues are in the middle of a season or just starting a season. That's why most leagues are looking at a minimum of 2 seasons until the code is rolled out to that league because MFN-1 will need to complete the season (again) and the other leagues will be in mid-season (again). That also hinges on v.4.1 being stable by that time.

But, in general, I would like to see parts of it rolled out faster. Pass blocking was almost there, but it's currently inside-out. DTs are dominating the interior and DEs are very under powered. That's probably going to take some time to fine tune too.

Also, the QB fixes have made the passing game too powerful, so without a corresponding defensive update we're still out of balance.

I probably released the most recent update prematurely, I'm hoping not to make the same mistake with this one. I also don't know that I'll need a full season of MFN-1, but I'd rather take longer than release something that fixes some issues but creates other equal or worse ones.
