Rarely in the NFL is a teams offensive linemen all banged up after the first reg season game. By the end of the yr? Yeah I can see more probables, but this is unrealistic at the moment. Many teams only dress 1 or 2 extra off linemen a game because it's one of the more rare positions to get injured at, but so far it looks like one of the more injury prone positions in this game.

I'm not sure which nfl team you follow but i've never seen a team go with one reserve lineman in a game. Lineman get hurt all the time in real life. In this game you can play guys that are probable and questionable and they usually do ok. Especially if it's to a part of the body that they can play through. Only if they are doubtful or OUT do you really consider them not available. In this game if you don't properly get their conditioning up in preseason they are significantly more likely to get hurt. Not sure how your preseason playing time went but that could be a factor. There are lots of things that aren't realistic on this game but injuries are furthest from a problem in my opinion

See the Cleveland Browns. They lost the LG, RG, And 2 C in 5 weeks in 2016. In 2015 they lost their C, RG, and RT by week 8. It Happens. Mostly to my Browns though. Conspiracy I think.

lol yeah the browns. I'm a lions fan which isn't much better. lol. Check it out tho Bryson. I'm telling you teams don't activate very many linemen. I do respect your knowledge of this game and will take any pointers.

I think injuries on this game happen way more frequently when they're tired and not in shape. I seem to always get a star RB hurt right before the super bowl so I feel your pain. Injuries are sometimes random and I've yet to really see a huge trend with lineman over other positions. The best advice I can give you is have a couple swing lineman that you can use at guard or tackle on your bench. Never sit a guy who is probable, and really try to build good depth at all positions. For the most part there isn't a realistic number of injuries on this game. I think I have had one Qb in 27 season that was significantly hurt for more than one game. So while it's frustrating getting injuries, I can't complain too much :)

Fortunately i have some depth at OL. The injuries do help me tank this yr which isn't a bad idea since I'm rebuilding, but don't want to see a trend lol. So what do you suggest to put for when to sub out for fatigue?

i use 55 but its not a magic number or something. For some teams i adjust by position if i have better depth in certain areas. Most of my teams i really concentrate on being a couple deep at all positions so injuries aren't that big of a deal but that's not always possible.

Unfortunately one of the best pointers is to forget what you already know about how football is actually played IRL. Take the time to learn how this sim works and you will be more successful in all areas. Watch the games, read the forums and be patient. No matter how many pointers and posts you read it is still going to take some time to absorb it all.

i think that's great advice. I have most of my knowledge from many games watched. You pick up certain consistencies and similarities that will help you build a base of knowledge. When people ask about weights that's many seasons of the eye test, always tinkering and adjusting.

So no extra injury threat if I play a guy who probable? I played a football sim a few yrs ago where a guy who was probable had a higher risk getting a more severe injury.

My philosophy is probably closest to Bryson's. I have a lot of teams and I tend to put my focus in other areas because if I went down the rabbit hole of worrying myself on injuries everywhere I'd miss the more important things: scouting, gameplanning and team building. (balling hard in FA and the draft) Like Bryson said I try to counteract injuries by amassing as much talent as I can on my team and I've only touched the fatigue settings maybe twice when I wanted to create an offensive advantage strategy wise. I'm probably missing something here but I play an aggressive game and always want my best players on the field.
