We had a Vet take some time away for a bit (a whole season) for personal reasons. He didn't drop any of his teams as this absence was abrupt and unexpected. His teams had similar records as the ones posted. If it happened to all of his teams in all of his leagues, you should consider the possibility of absence. Just my thoughts.

I don't see how any owner with his experience would ever go 0-16 without it being intentional.

On the other hand, that's 10 Seasons. The guys that went 12-4 would be retiring, most of the 13-3 and 14-2 guys would be old as well.

Did you check to see how hard he was hit by Retiring Players?

If you lose your Core to Retirement, that's going to take a toll. And obviously he's been getting Late Draft Picks with those Records, so he hasn't been restocking with Top Talent.

At which point you've only got a few good players that can't carry you and won't be around when you rebuild, so you sell them off for Picks and try to restock.

There's a difference between going 4-12 and 0-16.

It takes work to be 0-16 if you're good enough to have 10 straight winning seasons. There's more involved in winning a game than just the players on your roster.

To an extent. But when you have NO players on your roster of any quality then it's going to take a regular Bill Bellicheck to do anything with it.

I'm not saying Retirements sent him to 0-16, I'm suggesting Retirements may have sent him to 4-12, at which point he decided to Trade what he had left to rebuild. Those Trades then sunk him to 0-16.

So did he do it to himself? Sure. He could have been 4-12 and rebuilt with 7 regular Draft Picks over who knows how long. 5-11 the next year, maybe 6-10 the following. Or he could sell a few assets, bit the bullet, and be back to 10-6 next Year.

You can only Coach the Talent you have. If he doesn't have any, doesn't matter how good a Coach he is, he's not going to Win.

I try or win in about 10 percent of all the leagues I play in .......all that being said my worst record might have had 4-6 wins. I have never had a number one and I think it was only once I had a number two more three and that was cause I had picked the team up in order to get a high pick, but they always won at least one or two. If you can win a bowl game then an 0-16 is a tank. Still, I do not care what anyone does cause it a game.

Jdb has reset users who run dive all the time, but that was only one in my memory . .....still all lot of minor tanking probably goes on in every league. It's much easier to go 10 -6 then 0-16. Unless you try. It's probably harder to go 0-16 then 16 and 0. Either way effort is the key in either situation . I would rather go 16-0 even though I haven't done either. It's a personal choice that is allowed without a penalty .

Is it worse to lose 90% percent of all games ever year and garner a top ten pick every year? Ten seasons in a row......imo that ruins a league even more. It the safety of the draft causing these tanks....jdb fault....not any user. This sounds like a witch hunt with no name . I hope he locks this thread. Cause nothing is happening any time soon.

I didn't start this as a witch hunt, merely an observation that it's extremely hard to go 0-16 without putting in a lot of effort to do so.

I just don't see the fun in that. No one else posted about calling owners out. If an owner wants to tank hard, whatever floats your boat.
