Keep injuries right where it is. I can manage it at status quo, although...

there's one particular position we're already dealing with that when you get a 'significant injury' their production rate slashes in half going forward.

The game will never approach a RL simulation unless and until it mirrors injuries in RL.

Injuries are just that, you as a coach need to decide which are critical to your team.

I've seen a stud player marked as "Out (Concussion)", but he was allowed to play and made some standout plays.

That said, if you do loose KEY players, then perhaps the game might avail from a practice squad that they can draw from...and not have to rely on sub-par FA's.

Just my .2

Or......
Since a maximum roster is 53 while being allowed to only play 46 each game, you can make your own "Practice Squad" by being sure those extra 7 positions that are not playing cover depth at key positions.

What is the maximum roster in real life NFL ?.....do they have practice squads ? Can they draw from practice squads if a key player goes down due to injury ?

I would think yes on all.

53 (same as MFN)....but only 46 can suit up for a game (same as MFN)
And a team may have 90 players in Training camp, unlike MFN. And in May of 2017, the NFL approved a rule that allows for ONLY one cut day, giving coaches a better idea of evaluating talent as opposed to the previous rule of four cut days. But....teams must still be cut down from possible 90 to 53 (same as MFN) and only 46 can be available for gameday, just like MFN.

JDOM wrote:

Yes they do, but any player can be signed by any team at any time while on the practice squad, so they are basically, in terms of MFN, Free Agents. Still the cream of the crop in FA available but not good enough to make the team.

JDOM wrote:

Yes they can, but to make room for a player a team calls up from their practice squad, if they are at the maximum roster size of 53, they must make a roster move like placing a player on IR or cutting them. And placing a player on IR makes that player unable to even practice with his current team. So, again in terms of MFN, it is like cutting a player or putting him on waivers.

Although, I would like for MFN to give me a better options of being able to place my players on IR and carry him unto next season, like my All-Pro LT with 3 years experiance out for 12 weeks with a knee injury, I accept the fact that if I was to get rid of him, some one else would grab him, so basically I am without a roster spot. that I could fill with someone. I accept that as I thought you did in your first sentence in which I quoted

As I mentioned, you are correct but also you are wrong in your understanding

And some players in MFN are just injury prone. Just like RL. So if you keep getting the same player injured.....it’s not bc injuries are turned up, just a injury prone player. I always look at a players injury history before considering trades and vet pick ups.

Is this a fact (that in MFN some players are injury prone)? Thanks!
