Why is every league the top QB attributes are never very impressive. I realize there are a lot of variables but it seems like a qb with an 80 ranking is what ya want..lol

Player weightings has an effect, for instance a QB has about 10/12 different variables you consider, whereas a Tackle or Guard has 5. Therefore it's more likely to see a 90+ rated O lineman than an 80+ rated QB.

Default QB ratings are awful because they are still based on 0.3.x code or earlier.

Here's what matters for QBs

Intelligence: Dictates which person the QB throws at
Accuracy: How close to the ideal spot for the ball the QB throws it
Arm Strength: Velocity to get the ball there and beat the defender
Release: The time between when the QB choose the target and throws
Field of Vision: How much of the field the QB sees (100 = 170 degrees of vision)
Scramble: How accurate the QB throws on the run
Look Off: (Least important of these) How easily the QB moves the safety (and as far as I know, only the safety)

Basically, you want a QB with these minimums:

IN = 90+
ACC = 75+ (< 50 is unplayable)
ARM = 75+
FOV = 60+
REL = 60+

For ACC and ARM, you can get by with 60+ if the QB has great other attributes and your play calling is fundamental. This rookie in 2 took me a long ways for being a 6th round pick, and he has ~65 in everything except IN and FOV: https://mfn2.myfootballnow.com/player/13016

What Seth said is generally true but I've won championships with a stupid QB in USFL.

Full disclosure, those teams relied on defense and the running game, and Labelle is likely an exception to the rule.

I've seen QBS with attributes like that w/ winning teams quite a bit. That's what I was talking about...I realize the variables. But that minimum chart definitely helped!

I've somehow won two championships with my current RB... Or despite him.

But he was a FA pickup who kept improving in accuracy and I haven't had high picks, so...

What are you talking about. Flowers looks awesome. 95+ IN, ACC, ARM

Wow, that was an awesome pick up for free agent. And not having to have him on hook for a big chunk of salary either.

I like those three ratings. This guy makes mistakes , 6 interceptions in the play offs, and his accuracy is developing but he is a serviceable option
