MFN-# Leagues possess a 100 injury rate setting and a Zone Defensive structure meant to slow you down and put you on the losing end of dice rolls. I'm not going to incur injuries to AI because it wants me to come out of games -17% and -19% to the MAN OLB Flat Zone and the Nickel Cover 2 Man Under, respectively.

Another user - ok. But AI - no. Not going to ruin my hard work.

AGAIN???
9 punts blocked?! https://mfn7.myfootballnow.com/log/11777
Could you try and abide by the standards everyone else is adhering to and stop gaming the leagues?
You skewing things with punt blocking, screws up any tiebreaker situations and is just a poor show of gamesmanship!

This should be handled in house, not put on blast in the community thread. If the guys breaks league rules, boot him. If it’s a grey area, make it black and white. There’s always going to be someone pushing the limits of gamesmanship, and I know it’s usually always the same person. Either put up with it, or get rid of it. (Or play 4.6 to eliminate this particular glitch)

I don't feel bad about it.

It's removed for Breakspear.

Please tell me I'm still the biggest a-hole. I'd hate to think smirt got the better of me again.

Meh. All I've known of Smirt in the few leagues I've had the pleasure of competing with him - is he is unusual. MFN needs unusual. Like many of us, he's just always working for an edge. Like some of us, a little tickle can lead to a bit of agression (and some brilliant personel use, frankly).
Ive never seen this so called cancer be anything less than competative, creative, and bluntly honest when inquired about what their processes and/or motives are.

Games are meant to be broken. That's how the "best" games become such.

Absolutely nothing wrong (edit: with) creativity and the pursuit of improvement.

I find this entire thread to be petty. Harmful. Hateful. Rooted in the self interests and the frantic self preservation motives of the original poster.

Frankly, this whole "I'm better than him... he's a cancer" is just **** MFN doesn't need.

Everytime I've pulled my "i'm better than" card it was only a sorry *** excuse for how I felt less than whatever person, place, or thing I decided was my problem.

Smirt, is obviously the OP's problem. Not MFN's problem.
Shame that KingofBling (and others) can only try to create conflict, aggression, division, and toddler reactions to someone who is - and always has - done some very strange things to make MFN better.
Shame on those jumping on the belittlement bandwagon.
You really should improve your play.

If you cannot be an influencer - as Smirt definitely can be - then just shut up. Stop whining. Improve your **** game.

Sorry, NOT sorry some of you feel less than Smirt because s/he/they seek different ideas that create change. Quite sad such a player is in y'alls heads so much, but for better or worse Smirt's efforts make a LOT of difference and discover a LOT of items that need to be attended to long haul. Persons like him have made this game great. Truth.

I've had nothing but a gentle response and an open mind from Smirt within both my competitions and inquires.
S/he/they has never hid any motives - unlike some folks in this thread.

So...
Screw the hate.
Get over your ego, folks.

It's not Smirt's problem. It's yours.

AND STOP THREADS THAT MAKE MFN SEEM LIKE AN ARGUMENTATIVE CESSPOOL.
It's not helping JDB and MFN, and is far more harmful than the creative roster-ing Smirt and others enjoy so much of as a part of how they play MFN.

Overrides matter.

(edited for grammar and pronouns - because they matter, too!)

Smirt is essentially the Bill Belichick of MFN, always looking for an edge and towing the line with league-specific rules. I see nothing wrong with that. As long as he is following rules in place by league admins (as he has always done in CJFred's XFL league that we are in), not much to complain about.

I've recently had to 'boot' Smirt from one of my Leagues. I run multiple leagues and have administered for approx. 30 MFN seasons.

Smirt was in one of those Leagues from the start for 12 seasons and left of his own accord. (No problems with that, it's his choice) I was disappointed that he left a team with just 12 players signed and no picks in the first three rounds for the next three seasons but hey that shows his character.

It's fair to say over the seasons we've had our ups and downs and he has made it clear he doesn't like me (again, no problem, owners don't have to like me)

The reason why he has been booted from my other league is that he upsets other people on a regular basis and I've lost more owners over the seasons due to him being a part of the League(s). Two years ago that wasn't an issue, prospective owners were plentiful. That is no longer the case, for a multitude of reasons people have left MFN altogether. Most, if not all Admins are having to actively seek owners now.

Because of that as an admin you have to make a choice between supporting the loyal long term owner who costs you dozens of owners or support the majority and have a more harmonious group.

In the past, I've supported him and stepped in to resolve disputes with others. It would've been much simpler (and possibly more satisfying) to kick him out. It's not something I do often (only the second time I have booted someone) and I genuinely felt disappointed when facing his old team today. A 'hollow victory' sums it up best.

As a mark of respect, I have kept away from Leagues of which Smirt is a part because I don't want to get into an inevitable 'flame war' with him. He's now no longer involved in my leagues and I'm not in his. I think that's the best solution for us going ahead and I genuinely wish him all the best in the future.

The point I'm trying to make is that the thankless task of administering a league is tough enough without the extra hassle Smirt (and others) can create.

So as much as I respect him, his knowledge of the game and his phenomenal record in every league he plays as well as his unsurpassed desire to win at all costs. I haven't lost a minute of sleep over finally giving him the 'Spanish Archer' (El-bow)

Good luck Smirt, I always enjoyed beating you :0)

(It didn't happen often)
