Greetings, MFN Community!

I want to start this post with an apology about not being active in the forums. I know there is a lot of frustration around the lack of apparent progress. But I know you all are sticking with the game and I hope in spite of this you are experiencing enough enjoyment to put up with the issues that we are all aware of.

I want to assure you that I am still focusing my time on getting the UI update. It is actually coming along very nicely and I know you will be pleased with the updated functionality, especially in terms of being able to play the game on mobile devices, which were hardly a thing when this version of the website was developed. I also am making some tweaks to some game engine issues that can be resolved by limiting what you can do in the interface.

As I am sure you all know, this is not a project that I actually am earning a paycheck from - it's purely a passion project, and any credit purchases and advertising revenue basically keep the lights on. This unfortunately means that projects that actually do pay my own bills take priority for my time, and those come and go in waves. I spend at least some time every month on MFN, but the UI overhaul is a huge project. That said, it is actually about 70-80% complete and I really am super excited to start rolling it out to the beta leagues. At that point I plan to start working on the game engine, and intend to build a committee of players who will be able to help drive that process.

So in short, I am so grateful for your continued patronage, and please accept my apology for my absence. I'm working on an update, trust me.

You realize that the UI doesn't matter while long passes and dropped down field passes are broken. Right?

There will be no owners left to enjoy the UI.

I rarely come to the forums, I spend less and less time on the game, and I already said it but I think a comeback to the previous game engine should have been considered long time ago already, and if the next one is not coming soon, a come back to the previous one has to be considered now as a possibility (if it is possible...).

I can't speak for everybody but first I don't have all the free time I would like to have, and then the game actually is not motivating me to come and spend much time on it...

Since it's been 8 months with no updates, and the MFN community has dropped to only a few active leagues, and the website continues to run slower, should we just assume that no more work is being done on it?

That’s been my assumption. The 4.6 engine is bad enough, but the website issues are even worse.

I’ll add the site has been working better for me the last few days.
