Just want to point out that several of us on this forum have already given MFN 100s of free hours providing feedback on a product for free. This just isn't a slap in the face. This is a flat out refusal to acknowledge the help in identifying the problems with the game. I stopped providing any kind of feedback when I realized that those of us that knew simulators and knew football were being ignored. And I'll never subscribe to a game in the form that MFN is in now.

The most backward thing about the subscription model is you only get more of the same.

There is no offensive or defensive play creator.

Offensive plays are limited and dated. The offense looks like something from the late 80s or early 90s in terms of play selection.

The biomechanics and physics on the game are still broken. DEs get off the ball and to the quarterback faster than receivers can run 10 yards. Receivers still drop every open pass more than 5 yards from the LOS. And yet quarterbacks when they throw have 100% accuracy at any distance which is why the drop code was needed and DBs knock down more passes than quarterbacks just miss or overthrow.

You can spam defense to win which I know because I'm one of the worst offenders of it.

I'll keep my one free team but I suspect that the game doesn't last much longer anyway.

Exactly! I am not gonna pay just to have to totally rebuild a team and make it run heavy because receivers with 94 catching wont catch a 2 yard wide open pass. The DEs getting off the ball is so true as well, my wrs with 92 speed cant run faster than DEs with 58 speed and get strapped by corners with 42 speed.

I've always been a pass heavy kind of guy but the fact that QBs are incapable of completing 20 yard passes is embarrassing, the pass game is so horribly broken at this point, my wr core combines for 2000 yards at the end of the season.

for every 5 players saying "I did this and I do that and therefor you owe me," there is one player saying I accept this, I am not fond of it and how can I be of assistance.
It's disgusting.
MFN doesn't owe anyone who has put in any effort to the game any more than Wal-mart owes you for being a consistant customer. Shoot, Walmart has us working for free just to use their service.
Yes, improvement is always an option. Always. In that whatever is improved - all I see on forums is a whole lot of it sucks and I did this for you self-fondeling.
If it was always about the game and making it better, then it should still be.
MFN is not a quid pro quo GOP party, though I am very sure that all player contributions are much appreciated.
Either the work was done FOR the community or you did it FOR you expecting a return.
If the latter is true, check your expectations.

I'm just gonna sit still and wait. It's not cool so many folks have chosen to be all "look what I did and that means you owe me" instead of this is what we have and lets adjust.
Everything and anything JDB has done to be proactive - new versions, whatever whatever - has always been met with a basic "this sucks" from all these folks who like to pretend to contribute but actually expect a return on thier work.
That is 100% on them.
You knew what MFN was when you decided to help. To give such assistance and then to ask for favors when the situation changes is truly dastardly.

Acceptance permits progress, and there has been some really incredible ideas from folks who are not involved in the "what about me and look what ive done for you" crowd.

It's important I say thank you for such contributions from so many that have enabled me to quickly learn the basics of MFN and to compete.
That said, to those that gave so freely and now come so wanting of preference based upon past laurels, I can only encourage you to find that heart that made you give freely in the first place.

If it's about you, then WE have no future.

While I absolutely support the subscription concept my concern was in the implementation and consequences of that. I'm not sure if I came across with that clearly. My big concern was the taking away of teams from players who were emotionally invested in them with the expectation that this was a free game. I just think almost all the fallout could have been avoided with legacy team ownership of teams they already had. They would need a subscription to get another team but they could keep those teams they had until they leave them. It would have been much better for the health of the game and far less aggravating to the player base, though I understand the trade off is less immediate revenue from basically forced subscriptions to keep your multiple beloved teams. I think you overlook the love some people have for their teams and this game in general. Almost everyone who has spoken has done so from a place of love for this game and the desire of minimal harm to come to it. If anything even the harshest comments reaffirm the love this community has for the game and the desire to see it succeed even if our ability to communicate it as such may be lacking.

I agree with most of that, Pernbronze.
I would hold fast that we need ideas not what about me's.
The subscription plan seems to be a lot about cost, I mentioned that i gathered10$ per month cost seems to be the threshold.
I think everyone can agree that a longer plan should be lesser monies. Quite a few players have run the numbers and everyone seems to agree.
I still see a lot of what about me and i did this throughout this thread. You stuck to addressing your concern ("my concern is...").
it's not about you.
It's about us.
It's not easy to be selfless to make progress, and I will once again point to the great ideas proposed over the personal concerns raised throughout this post.
Personally, anything that starts with I or my is not something I need to consider regarding the health of MFN.
I'm only 4 months in, pretty sure some folks take that as a reason to ignore.
...but it is exactly why some folks should pay attention.

I don't care about the past, the subs - though new to me - like, ive been here 4 months so whatever. Price points stink, I think everyone agrees.

If it's about "you," then WE lose. Indirect you and broadly used. Please do not attack my use of generic pronouns thinking i actually mean you personally. It's a broad term; see the quotes?

Anyway, this will sort itself out. MFN always does. Hopefully no one will go full asshat on another player because of their frustrations ;)

Edited because I used S u c ks so i put in stinks.

only one person in this thread suggested a different pricing structure. a couple players discussed it after it was posted, and the ideas were quickly buried in the what about me's that followed.
That makes my point.

If it's about pricing, then why are we not discussing price points. JDB has been more than amicable regarding changes - as he always is. Some action was taken by JDB after that particular post, changes were made.

Let's continue to discuss what we find acceptable regarding price points instead of having so many players dictate what they are losing, and lamenting such loses without proposing any ideas that may or may not be actualized - and taken action upon.

I am experiencing this and here is my idea instead of I am experiencing this and I , my concern, my problem is...
The problem is not having an idea to fix the issue.
Everyone has problems.
Not many people - at least from reading this thread - have actual ideas of a solution.

Moving forward and checking out. I have nothing more to say here in the public forums.

Question: Does renewing the registration of a team for the next season still cost 5 credits? And if this applies do I then get 5 new credits or is it taken from my legacy credits without refund?

I did propose a solution though. Once concerns or problems don't mean they apply only to or even at all to the individual posting.

postnote: 2.50$ is fine for 1 team/no adverts BUT until I am forced to disable my adblocker, it's not happening.
WHile I am at it, RO should be 100% free. RO absolutely sucks and offers very little actual roster management (no overs. Seriously?), but it's also an easy path towards potential new subscribers, as roster development and team management seem to be the main attraction for the current community.

I'd agree about RO leagues being free or at least one RO league should be, one RO and one non RO league per free sub perhaps.
