Greetings and Salad Imitations!

The Major League Football League has reached the 2032 Carnival of Kismet. It looks to be an exciting weekend, especially in the Mash and Gravy Conference where Albuquerque (#1), Baltimore (#2), Wichita (#3), and Minnesota (#4) all finished 13-3 during the regular season. The Curds (CrazySexyBeast) lucked into the 1st seed by beating the Bearcats (calebwill) 26-6 in a week 12 matchup at Beaver Dam. Minnesota, under the guidance of GM Josh1999 (taking ownership during the 2029 MLF season), looks to make a run for the Camp Cup in its first appearance in the playoffs since 2027.

Over in the Bangers Conference, the Chicago Beasts (SlipperySlope) once again garnered the #1 seed, and are a strong favorite to take the Cup itself. The Georgia Wasps, Under 2nd year GM Bryno, escaped the Cumberland Division not only with a division title, but the #2 seed as well. Pittsburg (trslick) QB Randall Hale re-enforced the player’s union’s stance on a new playoff seeding arrangement for the league by stating; “Going 12-4 and dominating not only our conference, but rising near to the top of an incredibly tough division, having the 3rd best record in our conference…. Well. It sucks. Even worse, Big Red gum has been discontinued. I guess it is time to kick some ***.”
Of course, all the talking heads are talking about what everyone is talking about.
Betting.

Jumping into the Condition of Attrition, the field leaves the corpses of Ohio (jabillups85), Reno, Galveston (bgedgerly), and Texas (loanblood) in the graveyard of 2032.

In the Bangers conference, an eager Chicago (SlipperySlope) looks to squanch the Ironmen of Pittsburgh (trslick), and the Wasps (Bryno) take on New Jersey at Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta.

Meanwhile, in the Mash and Gravy conference, newcomer Minnesota (joshw1999) looks for the pumpkin carriage, in an effort to go beyond the midnight hour in a matchup versus Beaver Dam (CrazySexyBeast) at The Lodge. In what has become to be known as the #litterbowl, the two kitties of the conference - the Wildcats of Wichita (Gridironfan) and Baltimore’s Bearcats (calebwill), look to establish dominance and scratch their way into the Fiendish Four.

This reporter would like to say good luck to each team remaining, and may each of you cover the spread.

Bienvenidos!

We’ve arrived at the Fiendish Four, and it’s time to start thinking about deviled eggs and little smokies for the Camp Cup fiestas!
So let’s get out the pitchforks and dig into last weekend’s events.
The Chicago Beasts emerged victorious over the Pittsburgh Ironmen 40-20 in an impressive offensive display by both teams. Chicago’s RB Darryl Arthur would not be denied yet another chance to pursue a cup as he put up 134 yards and a touchdown. In the end it was the Ironmen’s QB Randall Hale taking the blame upon his shoulders for the defeat after throwing for 2 TDS, 2 INTS, and an abysmal 60.66 QBR. A hellish day, indeed.

Meanwhile, in the Bangers Conference competition, the Wasps annihilated the Assassins 30-6, likely shutting down New Jersey’s dreams of a 2nd Camp Cup for seasons to come. With over 450 yards of offense, Georgia improved on it’s already peachy 421 yards per game regular season average.
Everyone wants to know the real number, and it’s Chicago by -3.

Over in the Mash and Gravy, the Bearcats’ offense was purring in the first half, but could not reach the end zone against Wichita and the score was 13-3 at halftime. The second half was a battle of inches, with neither team mustering the yardage to broach the 50 yard line until late in the 4th, when wichita added a second field goal and then turned the ball over on downs at Baltimore’s 6 yard line with 1:33 remaining. The final score would remain 16-3 as the game bugged out and did not put Wichita’s 2nd field goal on the scoreboard. The MGM Grand is considering Chapter 13 bankruptcy filings when the courts open on Monday.

In the last game of the weekend, the Curds churned up Minnesota 19-10. With an interception deep in the Werewolves’ territory on both Beaver Dam’s opening possessions, the score was much closer than the stats. However, Minnesota head coach Timothy Churchill, an indirect ancestor of Dilbert Churchill, Winston Churchill's 4th cousin on his aunt’s side, stated eagerly after the game; “I can’t wait until next year. We have such an incredible core of guys here in the locker room and ownership is over the top in their efforts to pursue a league championship.”

Well now folks? Is anyone surprised? Once again Chicago (SlipperySlope) and Beaver Dam (CrazySexyBeast) meet yet *again* in the Camp Cup.

After destroying Georgia (Bryno) in the Fiendish Four 38-7, the Beasts look to take their third straight Cup. CHI QB Irvin Huggins was dominant on the day, going 26-22/295/4TDS with a 153.53 QBR.
Beaver Dam escaped at home verses the Bearcats (calebwill) 23-15 once again on the strength of their run defense, holding Baltimore to 58 total rushing yards on 23 carries.

Head coach Jim Jorgensen of Beaver Dam, when told in advance of some possible headlines for this story stated; “Surprised?? Surprised?? You bet your A** we are surprised! Surprised the line wasn't -14 in our favor, witches!!!” He then proceeded to cackle like a madman, cram a piece of paper into an envelope (Moot Points later learned it contained the above quote, an eggplant drawing, an ounce of glitter; and was addressed to the Chicago GMs home address), lick an oversized Elvis stamp and yell “LET’S GOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!”

It is the third straight Camp Cup between CHI and BVD, their 7th meeting overall. The Beasts lead the rivalry 4-2

In other news, everyone had a haircut from the same barber, flown in from Kansas City.
The line: Curds -5.

It should be stated in no way will the post office deliver that letter before the game is completed.

It was a gorgeous, temperature controlled afternoon in Detroit under the faded canopy of Ford Field when the Chicago Beasts (slipperySlope) faced off against the Beaver Dam Curds (CrazySexyBeast). However, before a crowd of 74,628, the atmosphere within the dome quickly thickened as the teams settled into what would be a long grind.

The Beasts defense came out strong, forcing the Curds to punt on their first two possessions and into an interception on their third. Unfortunately, Chicago’s offense came out sluggish, making 2 field goals and missing one in the first half.

Mushugagallica hammered the crowd with an intense yet subtle “super EMD funky math fest blast beat-o-rama” to quote lead singer Iam Hammbones as the scoreboard displayed a 7-6 Beaver Dam lead - well short of the halftime over/under number of 30.

Fortunately for Chicago head coach Brent Hull, the Beasts defense proved hungry and held the curds to a field goal over the next 26 minutes as CHI QB Irvin Huggins tossed 2 touchdowns and navigated a field goal, leading the Beasts to 12 point lead with 4:11 to go in the Camp Cup.

Then, all **** broke loose for the Beasts as the Curds, uninspired, unmotivated, sluggish and slow - suddenly became invigorated as if struck by the tiny hand of Adderall itself.

Beaver Dam QB Rex Ponce marshalled the Curds to an efficient 2:22, 75 yard drive to put the Curds second touchdown of the game into the books. Amazingly, having found their backbone previously in the game with a late fourth quarter goal line stand, the BVD defense held Chicago to 3 and out.

Starting from their own 6, with 1:26 remaining and the title on the line, it seemed impossible that the Curds would topple the Beasts defense once again. As though a crack in the Earth, the Beasts’ defensive line opened, and the Curds’ FB Freds Ascott wormed his way through and to the right sideline… Ponce tossed an easy, high arcing ball over the trenches right into Ascott’s hands. Struggling but finally breaking a tackle, Ascott ran for the hills scoring a 69 yard touchdown to put Beaver Dam ahead 23-22.

Making the smart move, BVD went for the deuce, and RB Louis Delatorre punched his way home, making the score 25-22 with 8 seconds remaining.

...and there the score would stay.

Congratulations to the Beaver Dam Curds on winning the Major League Football League 2032 Camp Cup champions and emptying every bookie’s crypto wallets in the process.
