One of my teams are considerably weak at the LB position, especially MLB and WLB. When the war room was first made available to us, the AI was screaming for these positions as a suggest fill (rightly so).

I then took in two very young, and imo, strong LB's to aid the burden via trading. Yet the AI is still screaming at me for these positions to be filled...granted, one of the LB's I drafted in was a SLB, but young enough (third season) to make the transition to MLB...so I changed his position to that of MLB (43/84), but the AI, after refreshing the War Room browser still insist that LB is my biggest need.

I'm kind of confused on this, the team and player in question;

You need to edit the settings of the third window. There will be sliders you can edit for the importance of each position.

I rarely use those, as I'm online for most early-mid round picks. One thing I have noticed is that the Trade period and War Room become available after the same spin (End of season), and when you click on "War Room", a loading screen appears with "Personalizing your draft class". I'm wondering if the AI does this as a once off...mainly due to the fact that I signed in two very good LB's and the AI suggestion (third window) still screams at me for this position of a big need.

I'm sure you know this already but one way round this if you're not interested in the suggested players just open their card and click on the Do Not Draft box, I always go through the board and do this if I'm likely to not be around for the pick...especially to take out inaccurate QBs and slow RB/WR.

That might mean I'd have to go through 250 players and click "Do Not Draft" LOL (jesting). The more I think on it, the more I think I might be correct....it is like once you click on War Room (just after the End Of Season spin, to find out your drafting position and times), the AI takes a single snapshot of your team at that moment, and advises on who the GET players your team might need,

The trades I took in addressed those positions/needs for me, but when I go back to the war room, it still tells me I'm in need of the same type player...so I'm guessing it is a point in time snapshot.

So, if my thinking is right, it would make sense that the AI still thinks I need LB's.

[EDIT]...or maybe the AI is spot on...and knows the LB's I traded for are going to be busts LOL

And you went to position page thing and changed how many of each position you want?

That usually changes things instantly for me.

Nope, I will be online to make the early round drafting decisions. My point is, the AI does not seem to take into account of *refreshed" draft needs after signing players. Both LB's that I traded in are very good be my weightings, and their progress is not bad. But the AI still thinks I need more LB's.

The LB's I had/have on board prior to any trade were sub standard but had very good speed for their rating.

Since it bases its picks on your position distribution, I think it's perfectly valid that it keeps pushing RB's on you, if you have less than you've set in there.

The AI doesn't need to change things, it's your team, you change what you're looking for. The AI is trying to help you, based on what you choose.

I think you might be missing the point here. What I'm saying is that I knew my teams weaknesses prior to "End of season" spin.

1. I click on War Room (to find out where and what time I am drafting. The AI loads with "Personalizing your draft class".....this is what I mean by a point in time snapshot.
2. The AI's draft board screams for LB's (yes, it is trying to suggest to me what I already know).
3. I normally compile a draft/FA strategy around week 13-14..and keep in game notes of needs.
4. I go and sign 2 very young and decent LB's through trading.
5. My LB count, as suggested by AI, is only one under.
6. The AI still thinks I need LB's....almost disgustingly in so far as it suggests I should take one in the 40's (48).

Weird.

If you prioritized LBs relatively highly, then being just one under wont matter. It will keep suggesting them until you get that one, then start jamming the next highest prioritized position at you.

Also, there are two sub-categories for LBs in the draft, OLBs and ILBs. If the ones you got are not positioned in the right sub-category, it will keep suggesting them. So, you changed your SLB to an MLB. I'm guessing it's prioritizing on OLBs.
