Noob Leagues to deter cheaters

Way too many cheaters popping up in this game and they are ruining leagues.
While I don't have the answer to stopping it, I do have an idea that would at least slow it down..

Create a High School league for new signups:

Must stay in this league for 3 seasons before eligible for promotion.
No draft pick trading.... maximum of 7 draft picks per season

Create a College league for high school teams to promote to:

Must stay in this league for 3 seasons before eligible for promotion.
Can trade draft picks...maximum of 10 draft picks per season.

Promotion to Pro league would be like it is now, except that I would put a limit on draft picks allowed per season... like 10 or 12.

Just a rough idea, subject to fine tuning.

well i think i have the answer to stopping it basically the new players cant trade draft picks for old players until they have been on this site for year or they have at least completed 1 season in the league they just joined and i would like to think problem solved.

Yeah, that would stop it for a year maybe... are you talking about a 365 days year or a 1 season in a league year?

I think a gradual promotion format would allow noobs to play with other noobs while learning the game and the right way to play it. Some of these horrible trades are simply because the player just really doesn't know any better.

Even just 1 beginner league or rookie league would help. As long as you had to stay in it 2 or 3 seasons with limited or no trading in the 1st season.

A much easier solution would be to simply extract the user(s). I know jdb is busy but it would be nice to simply report "OWNER A" .. jdb flags the account and the user gets a message when offering a trade like a same URL does now "trade cannot be processed" .. the trade button is also eliminated for people to offer trades (like the 30 day start).

Once the "investigation/Inquisition" is over .. if user is ok, unflag.

We have enough reputable owners who are watching...

I'd say one full season. I think 3 seasons is too much. Id be frustrated as **** if I had to wait. If someone wants to ruin the game bad enough, they will wait. Besides, all you have to do is log in every so often, not like you really have to "learn" if you don't want to.

Honestly, one draft could ruin a team .. think of someone who wants to ruin a league drafting all Kickers? The AI has that under control ;)

@Big Poppa
was saying if it is a year then cant do that it would be 365 days
Now if the year is too much then just 1 season in a league year

@Parsh
well in that case maybe a year 365 days wouldnt work it would have to be 1 season in a league year

i would have to say out of all the ideas that have been posted this one i would think has the best potential .

Though i would imagine JDB would have to have like a 24 hour flag thing where once a player is flagged they cant be flagged for another 24 hours or 1 week or 1 month because i would think if not people could flag that user like every second , every minute , every hour , every day , every week , every month , etc. and that would be get annoying real quick.

also something else i would worry about is if someone were out to get someone where they had a bad experience and try their best to have them kicked .

Oh, I agree 100% with this...but thats just it JDB doesn't have the time to do it by himself and by the time he gets around to it the season could be half over.

And thats not counting the people who would turn somebody in just because they didn't like the trade or the people involved and JDB having to waste time with those...

I'm not saying my idea is the best, I'm not even saying it's a good idea...I'm just saying something needs to be done. Right now I'm thinking seriously about abandoning 3 teams in different leagues that have been poisoned by these bogus dudes wreaking havoc.

One guy has TEN first rd draft picks in the next 3 seasons and a bazillion picks all together... that's a load of BS.
Even if that kind of **** is technically legit, it shouldn't be. Its ruining a league.

I am new to the site, but I would like to add my opinion. As a new owner, one cannot trade for 30 Real life calender days. Usually, this is carry past the trading deadline. Expand this to new members of the league also. Doesn't matter if you have been on the site since the beginning or just joined. If you join a new league, you cannot trade for the first season. Then if trades are made and one of the participants of trades was to leave the league before the end of the season, then automatically reverse the trades, including players that was drafted with the picks. To keep New owners from being punished in case a team previously traded all the picks, then the new owner would receive complimentary untradeable picks until the traded picks are refilled.

That's not a bad idea.
