I really think all leagues should be reset back to where TO's were originally and have teams just trying to score in the last 2 minutes and use MFN-1 to keep trying to tweak them until they are right but right now thats becoming a main issue on the game and it may be starting to discourage new players that are joining.

TO's are so unpredictable now. Some are being used in the 3rd quarter or start of 4th. Some are not being used in the last 2 minutes at all and the clock is just winding down. Lots of times they are just not used and instead of a team trying to go for a TD in the first half they only call 1 TO and burn the clock to 2 seconds and kick a FG whether ahead or trailing.

I could show links but I am sure any game you watch right now there is a problem. I play a lot of leagues and I havnt seen a game in a few seasons were its been close to be used properly.

I would rather see a scoring frenzy in the last 2 minutes then wasted opportunities.

I am not saying this because I am losing games as I win a lot more then I lose but I see how other owners could be just watching and wonder what is going on when trying to make a comeback

I made the most recent patch yesterday and spot checked some of last night's games, most everything looked good from my end. Especially the early 3rd or 4th quarter timeouts should be gone now, and the end of the half run down the clock for a field goal should be gone as well.

I'm now gameplanning opponents TOs as my own now, its that predictable.

My team calls a timeout (personally disagree with the logic on that call), and then the other team spikes the ball with their next play.

Next possession:

Unarguably bad logic on that timeout.

My games went smoothly on that area.

My MFN-6 game had some strange TOs called. Odd Times to call TOs that actually help the other team.

Here's what is happening at the end of the game there: the other team is in field goal range, the tie is inevitable unless they just miss the field goal. Your timeouts aren't really helping their cause. However, if you were to have held them from getting the first down, they would have kicked the FG and you would have had time at the end (almost a full minute) of the game to get into FG range and try to score the go-ahead before OT. If you didn't call the timeout, they would have run the clock down, guaranteeing you didn't get the ball back.

They converted on second down so it was a moot point, but that's the logic behind those timeouts. I'd love to hear your feedback - but in this case it actually did do what was intended.

At the end of the half, you called a timeout again to preserve time - and it almost worked as you nearly got a FG try to close the half. Take the sack and dropped pass away and you probably do.

The Other team was me.

If this was a real game I'd want to keep my TOs should there be any time remaining IF and when we got the ball back. My team looked odds on to get the FG, so let them get it, the game is tied heading to OT with 1 TO left and 53 ticks left, I would have made them BURN that TO and taken my chances with incompletion's. If I were Buffalo I'd have been a bit pissed, but that said I understand the game logic used and understand why they were called, but don't think they were the better option.

I see your point, and you are right. Looking at the game log I missed how close you came to scoring the TD.

I think to be fair, that in this case it was definitely , "You can please some people some of the time...". The AI did a job that it thought was correct and it was to a point.
