Player attributes now show speed and acceleration as a value relative to their weight - so a 87-speed player should now be the same speed across the board.

I thought this might have an effect on overall? Perhaps it did but it is minimal?

It's because the drops in SP and AC aren't as drastic as anyone thought until you get into the 300 pound-ish range. I thought the same thing when I first looked at it.

It does mean that there is no such thing as a 100 potential or overall player now.

I really like this. Thank you! Certainly a less dramatic change than I would have imagined. Fastest player I could fine was a 96 speed CB that weighted 191 pounds. I'm assuming we won't see a 100 speed player again unless it's a pretty underweight rookie, correct?

Is this going to be part of the 0.4.2 rollout or wait till 0.4.3?

I set the 100-speed to a pretty small player (166 pounds) so that there is visible variance even amount the smaller players, so it's probably unlikely you'll see a 100-speed player that is large enough to be useful.

Oh, and this will be a 0.4.2 feature. Right now the only thing in Beta that's delayed to 0.4.3 is the scouting, which is still being evaluated.

I think they are the same speed , but the display is different . So, overall would be the same .

It's just shows whole is truly fast as a 100, 100 player with the weight penalty . My weight penalty numbers were a bit different . Similar , but different as I used those number to hit 40 times.

So, players who lose a lot of weight will get faster . ..Visually ?

when I saw "speed and acceleration relative to weight" I thought it meant an 87-speed 190lb player would be faster than an 87-speed 300lb player.

I am glad to be wrong.

I see the players weight in pounds has trended toward the goal weight of the assigned position. It adjusts pretty quickly ...so quickly that everyone is the same weight .

I think there was an idea that involves a gm to assign a desired weight and a,player might or might not reach it quickly ?

Is something like or not like this in the works . ...or is it trending linearly , right now for all players?

The recent update was that each player has an assigned 'frame' that they trend towards; existing players got their current weight assigned as their frame when it went live, and so they have a better ability to move than before, but as they get further from their frame they will have a harder time moving. I will give you the ability to set the goal weight for each player, but that's not completed yet.
