I'm hoping this is the right place for or point me to the right thread.
JDB, Given the passing logic in 4.3, what changes and when are they anticipated being rolled out. I've spent a lot of time building my teams and the QB position, and now all my QBs are terrible. So, should I change strategies again and replace my QBs or will an update or new version bring the QB play somewhat back to where it was? Im just trying to figure out what I need to do to fix my rosters. Thanks. |

Yes. Very helpful for sure. I'm just trying to figure out if I need to change my entire assessment of QB attributes going forward. I try to keep up with the comments, but I have identical QBs across leagues, some ok, some bad. I look at my opponent's QB and I do not see how the attributes correlate to game play. It appears to be completely random how a QB performs.
Also confused about the comments "that pass was wobbly" or " that pass was not released cleanly" and the result is a 65 yd touch down pass. Im just totally lost at this point. setherick wrote: Mcarovil wrote: I'm hoping this is the right place for or point me to the right thread. Don't look at the 0.4.3 games. They are full of nerfs, band aids, and bad bugs right now. If you get one wobbly pass in a game, for instance, you'll get them all game.

Completely off target (several yards)
https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/8750#1588204 Bad fumble on the pitch https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/8750#1588208 https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/8750#1588218 Bad angle by the safety who is in good position initially https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/8750#1588231 What happens here ? The WR doesn't even move. https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/8750#1588241 The first of a serie of no-precision passes https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/8750#1588248 Again, Later https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/8750#1588251 Second play in a row (same off and def plays), same result : the LB isn't in man on the RB like he should be. https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/8750#1588268 In front of the RB, right in the arms of the LB https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/8750#1588325

Is the Rec% stat accurate ? Does it really reflect the WR ability ? As I understand it, if the ball is uncatchable (out of reach), it is still integrated in the stat of the designated target. Then, it is difficult to know who (WR or QB) is the weak link.
Same for the Catch allowed% for DBs. |

I’m just looking for some guidance as the new versions come out. I’m now dumping accuracy as the must important and focusing on pass release intel and field of vision. It’s a whole new strategy for me and just don’t want to have to go through this again if possible.

It’s a whole new strategy for me and just don’t want to have to go through this again if possible. To be fair, Accuracy as an attribute seesawed the previous few releases. In 0.4.0 and 0.4.1 (I think, it didn't stick around long), Accuracy was pretty useless because of how passing worked. The OL were at a serious disadvantage so QBs were always under pressure. It was better then to have a less accurate QB because they would either complete a pass or miss so wide that they would miss everyone. More accurate QBs threw several times more interceptions because they put the ball into tighter defense windows. In 0.4.2, this miss wide problem was taken away, so it was better to have the highest possible accuracy you could to avoid interceptions. Pass Blocking was also improved so QBs were not under as much pressure. Both versions suffered from the QB reading one receiver at a time, which meant that you could iso your targets on every single down if you wanted to. |

Looking alot at 4.3 and the b&r algorithms I see b&r as perhaps the most valuable rating behind speed mainly because the timING is so thrown off.
My main question is..... does the qb keep reading that same route for locked in amount of time? Irl the qb would quickly determine whether the b&r interaction was successful or not and move on to another option . Really is there different read times for the qb? Depending on whether the db has chosen to bump or no? Or is it the same for all routes? Or does the qb read all routes within veiw ? Or is it weighted longer to shorter depending on whether the target is primary or secondary? Or this might be tied to qbs intelligence ? |
