1.18 and 3.18 are effectively 2nd and 4ths. Maybe not with the changes made.
You bringing in a 2 season rental for those picks? Bad trade is still a bad trade.
MFN-1 is a test league. Plenty of leagues out there, trade could well have been reversed.

Whatever. I have that DT locked into a five year contract, not a two season rental. Anyway, I've never seen anything in my 8 years about trade values being bad. I play the game how it is, not how someone wants it to be. And if the trade proves bad, then I guess it'll go down as a lesson learned. You won some, you lose some. Why is it so important to you, anyway? What did I "get away with"?

1st round picks are worth more than a 32 year old DL
Also trade score uses default ratings which is not the best metric to use for ranking a trade. It generally causes people to get ripped off
Thanks for info. That will really be helpful in the future. Appreciate ya! 😊

If trade values don't matter/aren't accurate, then why does the game tell you the trade is too unbalanced to submit unless you get the two scores within a certain amount of each other. Your unwritten rules don't reconcile with the system. Make it make sense.

It's a blunt tool, as AG said, it uses the default player ratings. That means some reallyrap playrs get given a higher trade value at times.
Those player ratings are basically useless, for the most part. Serious players always edit the player weights to better reflect attributes needed per position for the game engine. Trade values also don't appear to be considering other factors, ie player age, to the degree they need to.
League admins can disable that trade balance check.
"Normally, the system will reject trades that it considers to be too unbalanced, as well as trades where both members have a common IP address in their history. You can disable these restrictions for your league."
Example.
G Adam Hale for me, default ratings are 76/76. I rate him lower than that, strength below where I would like. So for me, he's depth / ST. trade value would be 328, which imo is too high.

👍 Thanks for explanation, but don't assume I'm not a serious player because I'm not the MFN genius that some of you are. I'm 57 years old and grew up without all this technology. We played real football outside. I'm just trying to learn and play and enjoy it as I do. But in the end, it is just a game. All the best to you.

All the best to you - not far off you in age. You guys should always have an advantage since you grew up playing the sport.

I agree with both points of view as I think default ratings should reflect gameplay that results in customer retention. Mfn-1 is beta. The more outlining situations should be allowed/tested, and then possible decisions made to ensure customers satisfaction.
My advantages would be in real world football. These games are all algorithms and computer calculations. There's no room for intuition, instincts and doing things that go against conventional wisdom. Jerry Jones would get suspended from this game for some of the trades he makes LOL
I would not have joined this league had I known it was a beta test league, but I'm invested now and I don't like change LOL
