Pre-Season Wk 1 Issues

JDB,

Just some things from the NJY/DET game I noticed...

- This play was a safety - http://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/1672#299109 - after this play there should have been a punt, instead there was a kickoff.

- Not sure why my WLB ran for a TD here? http://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/1672#299155...he isnt assigned into the depth chart as one and I had 2 RBs and 1 FB active in this game.

- Same issue as above - this time my LG catching a pass - http://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/1672#299050 - I had 5 WR, 2 TE, 2 RB, and a FB active - why was the LG put in to catch a pass?

Funny, I had a guard catch a pass, too. And a TE get a carry.

I don't know if some recent changes made the depth chart act a little odd or if it's just now become more apparent; I think what's happening is that the pre-season has the option to pull your starters, which sits the top of your QB/WR/RB depth charts (I don't recall the exact list offhand, I think it's more than just those three but it's not every position and I don't think FB is included); combine that with the fact that the players are not fully conditioned yet and it seems to be resulting in teams getting to the end of their depth chart and the AI plugging in a warm body. I do have a ticket in the queue to make the AI a little bit more intelligent when this happens (i.e. not putting defensive players on offense or linemen in the backfield)

In that regard, I should note my guard was a former TE, so it wasn't that crazy to have him run a route
