Welcome to the 2027 MFN-1 Season Award Ceremony! Tonight is the night of recognition to the players, coaches, and owners who made the 2027 season so special. Awards will be presented to the participants who went above and beyond in the 2027 regular season, and showed enough charisma and passion to the sport of MFN-1. I personally would like to thank all 32 teams for making 2027 an awesome season to be a participant in MFN-1! So now without further a due, here is the presentation of the 2027 MFN-1 Season Award Ceremony starting in the position category with Quarterback of the Year...
Quarterback of the Year: Atlanta Falcons QB Carl Smith: Smith's consistency of on the field production improved his team vastly in the 2027 season as he capped off the regular season on a 12-4 record and the Atlanta Falcons first ever Division Title. Smith dominated in the regular season when it came to yards, throwing for 5,443 yards with an 57% completion percentage and trowing for 47 Touchdowns compared to 37 Interceptions, making up for an 84 Quarterback rating. He also was #1 in the rushing category rushing 79 times for 724 yards and 7 rushing touchdowns, going almost 10 yards per carry. Smith's dominance in the 2027 season propelled his team to its first division title, and there is no reason to doubt that Smith can Achieve more. Runner-up was Cincinnati QB Mitchell Reece.
Running Back of the Year: Detroit Lions RB Ernest Conley: Conley earned RB of the Year after he had a breakout season, one where he rushed for 1,972 yards going an average of 7.4 yards per carry and 14 Touchdowns while only fumbling 3 times. Conley improved the offense of the Lions in a way that nobody thought could happen, a single star-studded running back that was the 2nd best rusher in the league and led his team to an improved record. He also made his mark in the passing game by getting 414 receiving yards and 3 Touchdowns. Conley proved to everyone in 202 that he is a Franchise RB for the Lions and how his athleticism and speed creates touchdown after touchdown. Runner up for RB of the Year is Arizona's RB Ben Kenelly.
Fullback of the Year: Pittsburgh Steelers FB Glen Stringer: When Pittsburgh landed in the red zone, they looked for this guy, Glen Stringer. A player than has the toughness and speed of a running back, and the athleticism and power of Quarterback. Stringer rushed for 562 yards and 9 Touchdowns, the most of any Fullback in the 2027 season. He was used as a Runner-Receiver combo in Pittsburgh as he also caught 5 passes for 110 yards and a touchdown, making his season a one of a kind for a fullback, getting 10 touchdowns in total. In a position that Stringer plays in that isn't regarding as a exciting position, Stringer made it exciting to watch in 2027. Runner up was Buffalo's FB Scott King.
Tight End of the Year: Baltimore Ravens TE Andrew Clemons: Clemons made a good impression in Baltimore as a go-to Tight End after receiving the ball 46 times for 661 yards and 3 Touchdowns, all with a 14.4 yard average. What made Clemons so special in 2027 was his ability to always come down with the ball as he only dropped 1 pass in the entire season. He has consistently improved his field of play each year and showed us this year why he is superstar in Baltimore. Runner up was Tennessee TE Russell Miller.
Wide receiver of the Year: Carolina Panthers WR Edward Griffen: Griffen brought long gains after long gains in Carolina after being the #1 receiver in yards, 1,667, producing consistent gains, 18.3 yards per reception, and finding the end zone 13 times in the 2027 season. Griffen used a combination of size, speed, and his out of this world catching radius to find the ball in his hands at the end of the play. The former 4th round pick had arguably his best season on record and played every down with extreme competitiveness, making him the #1 WR of the 2027 season. Runner up for WR of the year was Washington WR Dominick Cota.
Left Tackle of the Year: Kansas City Chiefs LT Robert Look: Look ended his career on a high note, earning the rights to be called LT of the 2027 season. Of the 15 seasons he has played, only 2 seasons were played in Kansas City, but he made sure his last was one of his best. All in all, he started and played all 16 regular season games, played in 1,116 snaps, and only allowed 4 sacks. He showed great discipline as well only committing 2 penalties for 15 yards. His specialty came in the pass blocking game where he protected the Quarterback at all costs, and demonstrated all season long how strong he was mentally and physically. Runner up was Denver LT Roy Brower.
Left Guard of the Year: Los Angeles Rams LG Virgil Everhart: Everhart locked down the primary Left Guard position in Los Angeles and proved why he is one of the greatest guards to play in MFN-1 today. He played in 13 games and participated in 1,123 snaps of the ball and only giving up 1 sack on the year. He showed true grit every time the ball was snapped as the stance he took on his blocking raised the eyebrows of many offensive lineman coaches. His discipline matches with his blocking abilities and performance as he only committed 2 penalties for 15 yards. If any Left Guard needs a mentor in protection and posture, its Virgil Everhart. Runner up was Tennessee LG Timothy Brown.
Center of the Year: Pittsburgh Steelers C Brandon Massie: Being one of the greatest Center's to ever play the game, it's no surprise that Massie earned Center of the year. Entering his 15th year this year at 36 years young, Massie's field of play still makes him look like he is 26. Massie played in all 16 regular season games and took 1,147 snaps while only giving up 2 sacks... not bad for a 36 year old. He is regarded as one of the most humble and positive players on and off the field as he is heavily involved in the community of Pittsburgh off the field as well as being a team leader on the field. Runner up was Denver C Robert Paolini.
Right Guard of the Year: Buffalo Bills RG Charles Larson: Larson ended the 2027 season with only 1 sack given up after producing another successful winning record in Buffalo. Larson's performance usually created big holes to run through and exceeded expectations in the pass blocking game, only allowing 1 sack in the 13 games he participated in. Larson's ability to stop the opposing defensive lineman is solid and he is always looking for ways to improve whether that is blocking high, blocking low, or any other tactic to stop the defense from breaking through the trenches. Runner up was Washington RG Charles Jones.
Right Tackle of the Year: Philadelphia Eagles RT Max Brass: Brass ended his career with the Eagles on a high note playing for 15 games, competing in 1,200 snaps, and giving up only 3 sacks on the season. Drafted in the 2nd round of the 2014 MFN-1 Draft, Brass quickly became an elite offensive tackle and never looked back. He spent his 14 year career with Philadelphia, providing a big body up front to launch an effective run game, and provide protection in the passing game. His leadership skills and experience influenced the team to compete in a more fast paced and aggressive manor, and his style of play was always effective. Runner up was Dallas RT Roscoe Lopez.
Kicker of the Year: San Diego Chargers K Kenneth Mitchell: The most accurate kicker of the 2027 season, Mitchell put up 97% of his field goals (36/37) and 98% of his extra point kicks. His powerful leg has sealed off games with a win as well as succeeding after the extra points as his kickoff average was one of the highest in the league, a 73.1 average. The veterans success as a kicker has grown each and every year as he remains one of the most efficient and toughest kickers in the league. Runner up was New England K Jesse Willis.
Punter of the Year: Baltimore Ravens Punter Floyd Rusin: Rusin's ability to put the opposing team in a difficult starting position is astounding, especially to take part as another now-retired player who worked his tail off in his last season to earn Punter of the Year. He punted 106 times for 5,136 yards, making for an average punt of a terrific 48.5 average. He positioned himself in a way that if he had the chance to punt inside the 20, he did not hesitate to do it, and he showed us that in 2027 punting it inside the 20, 20 times. Runner up was Minnesota P Steven Ramirez.
Left Defensive End of the Year: Carolina Panthers LDE Anthony Kesler: Coming off of a explosive 2nd year in 2026 where he broke the All Time record of sacks in a season with 49, Kesler continued his trend of beating the offensive line with ease in 2027 sacking the Quarterback 34 times, 6 more than the next player at any position. Kesler could not be stopped by anyone on the left side as time and time again he found himself either sacking the quarterback or stripping the ball after forcing 6 fumbles in the 2027 season. He joins an elite group of 5 defensive players that have stripped the ball 6 times in a season. Kesler's high motor is a big reason why he earned the Left Defensive End of the Year, and there's no reason to believe he can't do it again. Runner up was Cleveland LDE Edward Downing.
Defensive Tackle of the Year: Tampa Bay Buccaneers DT Frank Crowley: The man they named "Mr. Crowley" from a song written by Ozzy Osbourne, Crowley had a fantastic season at Defensive Tackle, recording 40 tackles, 19 sacks, 1 pass knockdown, and 1 interception. Crowley had it all in 2027 to get to the ball carrier; determination, strength, flexibility, and endurance. Crowley's been a vital part of the Buccaneers defensive line for years, and it he is more than well deserving of the Defensive Tackle of the year award. Runner Up was New Jersey DT Henry Mickelson.
Right Defensive End of the Year: Miami Dolphins RDE Alfredo Plascencia: Miami's defensive line totaled up some sacks this year, mainly from Plascencia, who recorded 28 sacks as well as 20 tackles on the season. Coming into the season, Plascencia would have been the last guy you would have expected to be the 2nd best pass rusher of the season. His reaction time off of the snap was near perfection on every play as he would either beat the offensive lineman or fool him at his own game. Runner up was New York RDE Darrell Puckett.
Strong Side Linebacker of the Year: Carolina Panthers SLB Alfred Malley: Entering into his 10th year in 2028, Malley will be coming off of a strong season after making 57 tackles, 3 sacks, 4 pass knockdowns, and 5 interceptions including one for a pick six. The Panthers have always been a fearsome team on both sides of the ball, and Malley proved that even the less talented can make a difference. His vision on the development of play was nothing short of amazing, and his critical play on the ball often determined the outcome of games. If Malley will be remembered by one outstanding season, this was probably the one. Runner up was Miami SLB Kevin Allison.
Middle Linebacker of the Year: Tennessee Titans MLB David Hughes: Tennessee found a key player their defense when they drafted Hughes in the 2nd round of the 2020 draft. Hughes successfully made 41 tackles, 23 pass knockdowns (2nd most this season), and 4 interceptions. Hughes has significantly improved his style of play year in and year out and has become an efficient pass defender as only 31% of passes thrown against him were completed by the opposing receiver. Hughes defines a true titan on his defense as he is known to make game shifting plays and deliver hard knocks to the ball carrier. Runner up for MLB of the Year was Los Angeles MLB Jack Corcoran.
Weak Side Linebacker of the Year: Washington Redskins WLB Michael Montes: Montes has grown to be one of the most consistent and elite linebackers in MFN-1 today from his efficient style of play. Montes is a player who doesn't back down to anyone, and he proved that in 2027 after nailing 92 tackles, 4 sacks, 6 pass knockdowns, 4 interceptions, 1 pick six, and 2 fumbles. His ability to read the play with ease often creates weak spots for the offense and his uncanny adaptability to unfamiliar plays is beyond belief at times. Montes is known for his 'pound the ground game' style of play as he is referred to a run stopper more than a pass defender, but don't let his skill set fool you, he can beat you anywhere. Runner up was Atlanta WLB Christopher Pisano.
Corner Back of the Year: Philadelphia Eagles CB Joseph Buell: Buell has been the backbone of the Eagles secondary since his 1st season in 2023. In 2027, he made a bold statement that he would be one of the best corners in the league. His stats aren't far from that statement as he made 91 tackles, 1 sack, 15 pass knockdowns, and 8 interceptions, 2 of which went to the house. Buell ensured that every game he brought productivity and efficiency as he only missed 7 tackles the whole season and only 30% of passes were completed against him. His outstanding covering abilities made Buell an excellent defender as well as making it more difficult to get separation from him all season. Buell's 'all or nothing' form of play makes him one of the most watchable corners in the league. Runner up was New York's CB David Sauceda.
Strong Safety of the Year: Tennessee Titans SS Harold Pipkin: Pipkin established himself as one of the best ball-hawking safeties in the league in 2027, intercepting the ball 8 times and being 1 of only 2 players to return 3 of those interceptions for a Touchdown in a single season. Pipkin was seemingly unavoidable in 2027 making 104 tackles, knocking down 13 passes, and having only 34% of passes completed that were thrown his way. Pipkin has a knack for seeing the development of play and find out who the ball carrier will be. He can read the quarterback very well at times and possess a staggering reach for an air ball. Pipkin's performance in 2027 cements him as one of the best Strong Safeties in the league today. Runner up was Cleveland SS Winston Stevenson.
Free Safety of the Year: Tennessee Titans FS Francisco Fleming: Tennessee had arguably the best Safety duo in the league in 2027 after Fleming stepped up his defense in a big way. Fleming recorded 86 tackles, 18 pass knockdowns, 3 interceptions, 2 forced fumbles, and only 26% of passes completed against him. Entering his 3rd year in 2028, Fleming will have plenty of momentum after a much improved year from his rookie year. Fleming and Pipkin created magic in Tennessee, combining for a total of 190 tackles, 31 pass knockdowns and 11 interceptions. Fleming goes into 2028 with much more potential after having an impressive 2nd season. Runner up was Cleveland FS Thomas Womack.
Kick Returner of the Year: Tennessee WR Andrew Combs: Combs had a stellar year both on offense and special teams. His return game was significant in where the offense started as Combs returned the kickoff 28 times for 1,035 yards, making for a 37 yard average and 2 kick returns for 6 points. His route running ability during the returns were phenomenal as he often found the holes from the blocks to run right through. Combs established himself as one of the greatest returners of today and has earned kick returner of the year. Runner up was Green Bay RB Thomas Perz.
Punt Returner of the Year: Green Bay WR Raymond Deangelo: Deangelo made a name for himself on his rookie campaign in 2027, most notably as an electric punt returner as well as an effective Wide Receiver. His out of this world speed resulted in 1,449 yards off of 41 punt returns, and an incredible 10 punt return touchdowns. Green Bay found a promising young stud in Deangelo and watch for him in the future of both the return and receiving game. Runner up was Cleveland WR Eugene Kerby,
Offensive Rookie of the Year: Green Bay Packers Wide Receiver Raymond Deangelo: Deangelo came out of his rookie year more than pleased after putting up huge numbers in receiving and punt returning. Deangelo's star studded rookie year will forever be remembered not from the 1,368 yards receiving or the 21 yards per reception. not by the 13 receiving touchdowns or the 1,449 yards of punt returns. But the fact that in total, Deangelo had 23 touchdowns in 2027 as a rookie. There is very little doubt that this kid from San Diego State will be a bust after his 1st season as it will be more than likely for him to sky rocket as one of the leagues top Wide Receiver. Runner up was Cincinnati RB Ted Cash.
Defensive Rookie of the Year: Cincinnati Bengals Corner Back Joseph Barber: Cincinnati's 2027 draft class looked deadly as were there 1st round picks after Barber lit up the scene defensively. Barber, drafted from the 11th pick in the 1st round, showed a significant amount of potential in 2027 to be a top tier Corner Back for years to come. Barber recorded 82 tackles, 9 pass knockdowns, 5 interceptions and 1 that went to the house. Barber of course has more to learn if he wants to be labeled as an elite defensive back after having more than 40% of passes thrown against him completed, but its a small stepping stone to have the year he had in his rookie campaign. Runner up was Atlanta RDE Jerald Johnson.
MVP of the Year: New York Giants Corner Back David Sauceda: Sauceda was no doubt the leagues greatest defensive player in 2027 and he capped off the season by earning the right to be MVP of the Year after breaking an All Time season record. Sauceda recorded 91 tackles, 1 sack, 15 pass knockdowns and 12 interceptions, 3 of which went for a Touchdown. Only him and SS Harold Pipkin have 3 Interception Touchdowns in a single season, and that record was broken this year by both of them! Sauceda proved that he was New York's franchise Corner in 2027, covering some of the most elite receivers with ease and playing every down with fierce competitiveness. His hands were like glue to the ball and racking up 12 interceptions while breaking an all time season record will earn you the rights to be called MVP of the 2027 MFN-1 Season.
Breakout star of the Year: Detroit Lions RB Ernest Conley: Coming off of a 600 yard year in 2026, there was little expectations for Conley to be one of the leagues premiere Running Backs in 2027. Conley shut down all of the doubters by rushing for 1,972 yards in 267 attempts and 14 Touchdowns, the 2nd best in the 2027 season. Conley improved 1,300 yards from his 2nd season and bumped up his yards per carry almost 2 yards, from 5.7 in 2026 to 7.4 in 2027. Conley's athleticism allowed him to be extraordinary in the receiving game as well after he caught the ball 33 times for 414 yards and 3 Touchdowns. Conley is fast on the rise in terms of being the best back in the league and if his future ends up similar to this season, he will help bring the Lions back to the playoffs.
Robert Pryor award: Cleveland Browns SS Winston Stevenson: The Robert Pryor award was first presented in 2025 to honor former MLB of the Baltimore Ravens Robert Pryor, who retired in 2024 while holding the All Time record in Tackles, which has since been broken. This award is presented every year to be awarded to the player who succeeded in efficiency and consistency in bring the ball carrier down with the most tackles made this season. SS Winston Stevenson made the most tackles of the 2027 season, successfully completing 127 tackles. With every tackle made, Stevenson showed determination, versatility, strength, and efficiency in confirming that the ball carrier was down. Congratulations to SS Winston Stevenson for earning the Robert Pryor Award!
Joshua Guidi Clutch performer of the Year: A brand new award that will be presented each year is based off of former Seattle Seahawks Quarterback Joshua Guidi, who holds the all time record for passing yards with 57,881 yards and 422 Touchdowns, more than any other Quarterback in MFN-1 history. This award is given to the player who showed the most passion for the game of football, the most courage, the will to play the game with everything the human body can withstand each and every snap, the man who performed hard enough to come through in clutch moments whether that's winning games, performing above standards, or competing with love for the sport of football.
This year's winner of the Joshua Guidi Clutch performer award is Cincinnati Bengals C Michael Sea. Sea went above and beyond what it means to be a center in 2027. With every ball that was snapped, Sea showed sheer toughness and determination in 2027 finding as many opportunities as he can to bring productivity to the team. What he did that was different than any other player in 2027 is he played both Center and Receiver as he recorded 55 catches for 663 yards and two touchdowns. Going back and forth between Center and Receiver, Sea only gave up 4 sacks on the season. Sea's incredible work ethic for Cincinnati exceeded his expectations as a Center and that's why he earned the Joshua Guidi Clutch Performer of the Year.
Mr. Consistency: Washington Redskins Defensive Tackle Danny Watkins: This award is presented to the player who participated in the most snaps who was Watkins, as he started in 14 games but played in all 16, playing in 1,600 snaps. Watkins stamina was extraordinary to say the least as he was the least rotated defensive lineman in the league, staying in the game to record 41 tackles, 8 sacks, 1 pass knockdown, and a forced fumble. Watkins went out to the field every game with one intention: play some hard hitting football. Congratulations to DT Danny Watkins on being Mr. Consistency!
Ball Hawk of the Year: New York Giants CB David Sauceda: This award obviously goes to the man who intercepting the ball the most times this season which David Sauceda did with ease, racking up a dozen interceptions, and breaking the All Time Interception Touchdown record in a season with 3. Sauceda often covered a whole side of the field when in zone coverage as he was seemingly unavoidable to throw against. Sauceda continues to show us why he was picked in the 1st round with vision on the Quarterback like a hawk, we wont be surprised if Sauceda continues his trend of picking off Quarterback in 2028.
Comeback Team of the Year: Indianapolis Colts: The Colts weren't looking so hot coming into 2027 after going 4-12 and last in the AFC South. They turned things around in 2027 however, as they used some interesting strategies to move ahead in the AFC South and ended the year going 9-7 and 2nd in the division. RB Cody Toliver brought a fierce ground game while WR Ryan Elliot brought consistency, which helped Indianapolis win games through teamwork and abnormal strategies.
Rookie Owner of the Year: Raymattison21- New Orleans Saints: Raymattison21 took over ownership of the Saints in 2027 and did exceptionally well for his 1st season. Having an even record of 8-8, Raymattison21 got the chance to be in the wildcard in his 1st season and eventually won the Wildcard match. New Orleans then gradually gained momentum and won post season after post season games and eventually, Raymattison21 did the unthinkable and brought the 8-8 wildcard New Orleans Saints to the Championship game in his 1st season! If there is any indication from his 1st season as owner, it is that Raymattison21 will be a contender in 2028.
Owner of the Year: ibblacklavender02- Pittsburgh Steelers: Back to back championship wins for the Pittsburgh Steelers, ibblacklavender02 has won over the community of Pittsburgh as their rightful owner of the Steelers. His reputation keeps on building and is quickly becoming one of the most dominant owners in MFN-1. With Pittsburgh undefeated in the past 2 Super Bowls, ibblacklavender02 will be another owner to watch out for in 2028 as he defends his 2nd consecutive championship.
Rookie Head Coach of the Year: Arizona Head Coach Charles Ewing: Ewing got promoted from San Diego to be a Head Coach in Arizona after 7 years being an offensive coordinator. Ewing brought attention to himself already by creating an NFC West Division winning team going 12-4 but unfortunately losing to the 8-8 New Orleans Saints. Ewing looks to improve on his sophomore year as a head coach and will be searching for more playoff wins in the near future.
Head Coach of the Year: New Orleans Head Coach Randall Johnson: Johnson welcomed new owner Raymattison21 with open arms after stating that New Orleans will make the playoffs at the beginning of the 2027 season. Such a strong statement made by Johnson, but it ended up turning to a reality from barely making it into the wild card round, to being at the very first Super Bowl for the Saints. Johnson's positive can-do attitude influenced the team to perform better in the playoffs than in regular season and led them to their very first Super Bowl appearance.
Misfire of the Year: Jacksonville Jaguars: Coming off of a successful AFC South division title victory in 2026, the Jaguars were expected to continue their dominance of the AFC South in 2027. Unfortunately, the team just could not finish in the 4th quarter in 2027 going from 9-7 and 1st in the division in 2026, to 6-10 and last in the division in 2027. The Jaguars have a competitive squad that can be playoff contenders, they just need to readjust and come in to 2028 with high confidence instead of beating themselves up for it.
And that is it for the 2027 MFN-1 Season Award Ceremony, I hope everybody enjoyed it. Lots of man hours when into research and writing into this so hopefully there aren't any mistakes anywhere in the post. And with that I'm Michael "Mr.Krazy" Kenseth signing off, good night!
