Here we are way down the road in terms of a league with the most seasons played. I thought fa contracts effects the next year's renegotiated contacts. Right now I saw some fa bids like 5 years 300 mil...maybe 200 mil in bonus.
On the other hand, my renegotiated contracts were no higher than 40 mil guaranteed for any one guy. My guys aren't the best but I thought they be harder to retain. And I thought FAs would garner less despite only half our cap is used. Last years rookies are our highest paid players at 15 mil a year , but I guess I am cheap.
Point being the low amounts to retain players at any year prior to 4 is cheap and it opens doors for huge FA bids in comparison . I feel the system should account for last year's fa bids a bit more.
