Free Agents

Unless I am missing something completely...when I sort by a position, SLB for instance, Victor Lewis appears at the top, with his position listed as SLB (SS). When I sort by WLB, he shows up again, this time as WLB (SS). I put a contract offer out on him and his player card has him listed as SS. I assume SS is his true position - but then why is he showing up as high-rated in the other positions?

Switching players around is pretty easy in this game. If he is the highest rated it's because you can move him to that position and that's your best option to fill that need.

FF is correct - there is no penalty for switching a player's position, other than the fact that they stop gaining experience at the previous position. If a player's bars indicate that he would be better at a different position, or if he would be generally better for you, you can switch his position. Experience does account for a decent amount of the current rating but does not go into the future rating calculation.

Interesting. I suppose that makes sense - just weirded me out to keep seeing the same guy pop up whenever I filtered :)

Thanks!

OK, so it seems I have some contract offers that were made before I took over. How do I cancel those offers?

Open the player card that the contract is being offered to, and click on the contract button. The current offer will come up, and there is a checkbox to withdraw the offer. Submit the form with that checked and the offer will be withdrawn.
