Allmof your notes are accurrate . Some other thing to take notmof are....Most of those runs in the first half were out of the 113 set. Defensive alignments out of that set are rough on lb play if you don't blitz all the time. Later in the he busted some runs out of the 212 . Alot of it is play abuse . You might need some variation in your nickel defense in the first half. That set is one of my biggest pet peeves right now.
Put all that together and 10 yard pops are pretty easy. I got a guy in 87 at 189 pounds would run primarily out of the 113 late in the game. If I can get up alot late in the game....by three scores or so we go in to run mode and drain the clock. But after passing all game out of spread sets by the 5th time I run a play out of the 113 the defense is already getting cited for play abuse. It doesn't happen all the time, but it more often than not.
I don't really know if that is your case, but the break tackles and penalties get ridiculous once the abuse penalties are applied . Along with catch overs , defensive trips, and other anomalies .
The whole system was put in to stop people cheesing the blitz , but right now the adverse effects result in games like this . I mean war had a DB average 5 plus a carry....line play is broke to say the least.
I like the attempt cause those blitz all the time plans were beat but this is only minorly better. To be running it for seasons now is beyond me. By the time my small DES get big enough to play again something will change back. The same stuff I have been complaining about then is more prevalent now. Needless to say I am ready for a big change.
Perhaps that frame thing will go in to effect soon, but will that not make a difference , idk, but for skill players smaller is better cause strength is overrated and smaller is faster. Also, fatigue is too linked to fumbles or the speeds players travel at when collisions happen. Fumbles are just not right...
