Re: Scramble Question

I probably should know this or have it bookmarked, but I've forgotten and I don't.

Does Scramble mitigate the under pressure code at all times or only when the QB is on the move?

I know that Scramble increases accuracy on the move, but if the QB is flat footed, will it still mitigate under pressure penalties?

Basically, it's the part of the accuracy equation that interests me:
reduction based on scramble skill/movement

If movement is 0, does this just not apply?

I wish I had time to find the posts but it dictates how often the QB will redistribute the pocket .

The scrambling ability is really the QB's likelihood to leave the pocket and further to scramble instead of throw the ball away. A low scramble skill really just means more of a pocket passer. The scrambling skill is one that you may just want to turn off in your weights if you don't care about that style of quarterback. It doesn't translate to another position, so you can either value a Russell Wilson style QB or ignore that attribute altogether.

Here's something . ....in other words.

That's a really great quote.

It also explains why Scramble was so important prior to v 0.4.1 because all successful QBs were Mike Vick (100 Speed), Russ Wilson (100 Scramble), or Donovan McNabb (decent Speed, Scramble, and Break Tackle) types.
