[0.4.5] Version d345af1

* Removing the penalty for QBs passing > 40 times. Setherick thinks the bug is not related to this, so if it's not, hopefully it will rear its ugly head in tonight's games again and I can dig deeper into the data.
* Passes have been adjusted so as not to be so far off target on the misses.
* The outlet receiver has been removed from being able to be a primary target (I think this is what was causing the QB to throw immediately to the RB)

Pushed for Week 12 games on 1/22

I'm almost certain that it is not fatigue penalty related. My QB was 22/47 going into the 4Q of this game, and finished the game 31/63: https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/box/9195

That 9/16 in the 4Q resulted in three scoring drives to secure the win.

The only way this could be possibly fatigue penalty related is if both QBs passes thrown are being added together to make the penalty adjustment. My opponent only threw 20 passes in that game, so we didn't pass the 80 total mark until late in the 4Q.

===

Also, who is an outlet receiver? What defines that person on a given play? Can it be added to the play card?

I can't watch to see if QBs aren't checking down when none of the first 15 passes for both teams goes nowhere near the intended target.

1) https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/9242#1684083
a) Ugly pass

2) https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/9242#1684084
a) Uglier pass. The FB is wide open on the other side of the field and has the first down. This means that the checkdown logic just needs to be re-written.

If a checkdown guy can get a first down, QBs need to be smart enough to throw it there. QBs need to be smart enough to throw to anyone that can get a first down.

3) https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/9242#1684091
a) Long passes just look bad. This should go out in front of the WR.

4) https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/9242#1684098
a) A double "didn't we already fix these bugs" play. The QB throws NOWHERE NEAR the open the WR. But worse the DB RUNS AWAY as soon as the ball is in the air.

5) https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/9242#1684100
a) Another bad pass. The WR doesn't need to catch this one, but it shouldn't go over his head like this.

6) https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/9242#1684103
a) Do QBs even try to throw it to receivers anymore?

7) https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/9242#1684104
a) ...

8) https://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/9242#1684106
a) OK - I'm done with this.

QBs should be throwing almost every pass accurately. The point of the coverage updates was to keep defenders close to the receiver so that they had a chance of knocking the ball down. If this is how accuracy is going to work now, I'm spending no more time reviewing film or playing the game because this is decidedly worse than what it was before. If this is how it worked before, than all of these problems were being masked by the QB throwing to the RB everydown.

I like where sacks and hurries are at , but hurries are up. This pressure could be causing passes to be so inaccurate . Also, We had nine drops. Plenty of them wide open and accurate while under pressure . Still, I would like even more passes to the wr in spread sets, but last game looked better .

It's not pressure that is causing it. It's good B&R by DBs:

The problem isn't with the coverage that is working fine. The problem is with the QB. He's continuing to throw to the end of the run rather than where the WR will actually be.

Either the decision calculation needs to do a better job taking the new cover schemes into account or the QB needs to throw it closer to the WR.
