Is it possible to add player contracts to the player search facility.
This would allow you to see the top 10 paid players by position and the average pay per position. This would be invaluable in free agency.
This should also be tied in to rookie contracts and player contract demands based on on field performance. If you can add in a player grading by position for on field performance - similar to stuff I have done this season for my Leagues, you could get some of the Leagues top players holding out for a better contract or demanding to be traded (based on their volatility).
Players could demand
> An improved contract (being paid below the average rate but performing in the top 25%)
> A star player contract (being paid an above average contract but performing in the top 5%)
> A trade (being paid below average but performing in the top 5 players by position)
> To be the top paid player at the position (being paid less than the top 5 players by position but being ranked #1 or 3 seasons in the top 5 players by position
Leading to decisions re: pay the player, trade the player, cut the player
