Salary Cap

Its time to really tackle this issue. Its the biggest hole in the game right now. I'd like to see this dealt with before we get into the coaching issues.

Most team are running huge amounts of excess cash. I'm at like $84M.

FA becomes a joke and resigning your own players is automatic.

I don't mind being able to keep my own guys. The salary cap is far from the biggest issue for me.

I agree.

I would not like to have to deal with the current shortcomings in this game, especially the gameplanning / scouting limitations, AND ALSO not be able to keep my own players.

This is an issue, but in my opinion there are many other things needed more than trying to prevent people from being able to resign their own players.

As it turns out, if you look at the https://www.myfootballnow.com/roadmap?subdomain=mfn1 roadmap, you will see that the salary cap is being addressed and is under active development. Once it is rolled out into MFN-1, probably take a couple seasons to have some impact.

I agree. I want to make tough decision's each year....I saw someone trade a 7th rd 26th pick OL who developed nicely...I want to be forced to do that. As of now I have the cap space to sign and keep great players so I never really have to worry about developing late round picks...

I've got a few updates on this end that I'll roll out into MFN-1 for the version following the next one.

I know there has been a lot of discussion on this topic, but just wanted add to it. Between this season and last, my available cap has shrunk immensly. I only have 14mil cap space (and only 14 mil dead cap) left this season and FAs and re-signings are asking more money. I also am already over $200 mil for next years salaries. I think what JDB did is working. In the next season or two I will need to make some tough decisions on players. I used to run 60-80 mil under the cap, so the belt is definitely tightening.
